The Symantec Alert Block is a block-based module for Xoops 2.0.5.x. When installed and visible, it displays the latest alerts from Symantec's Anti-Virus Research Center (SARC).

Because of the nature of the SARC reporting script, users will need Javascript enabled in order to view this block correctly.

This module creates a sophosFlash block which contains the 10 latest virus warnings from Sophos.com and an index page with all retrieved virus alert links.

The alerts are retrieved from Sophos.com through an XML document that is read once every 8 hours.

The changes since the last version (0.01) are that I've now included four blocks in the code, added a nice icon to the module, and changed the layout of the VirusInfo page. The new blocks show Top virus threats, an Alert monitor, and virus news.
