= SUMMARY =

Xoops Protector is a module to defend XOOPS2 from various and malicious attacks.

This module can protect a various kind of attacks like:

- DoS
- Bad Crawlers (like bots collecting e-mails...)
- SQL Injection
- XSS (not all though)
- System globals pollution
- Session hi-jacking
- Null-bytes
- Directory Traversal
- Some kind of CSRF (fatal in XOOPS <= 2.0.9.2)
- Brute Force
- Camouflaged Image File Uploading (== IE Content-Type XSS)
- Executable File Uploading Attack
- XMLRPC's eval() and SQL Injection Attacks
- SPAMs for comment, trackback etc.

      Hello,

      I'd installed Protector v.3.16 module but I don't found this file: protector/images/protector_slogo.gif.

      # tar tvzf protector-3.1.tar.gz | grep -i logo
      #

      This causes an error in web server (404).

      Hola,

      He instalado el módulo Protector v.3.16 y revisando los logs del apache me encuentro con un "404" del fichero: protector/images/protector_slogo.gif

      Revisando de nuevo el paquete original bajado del repositorio (por si en algún copy+paste lo perdí), me encuentro que este fichero ya no viene:
      # tar tvzf protector-3.1.tar.gz | grep -i logo
      #

      ¿A nadie le pasó esto? ¿Tenéis el logo de versiones anteriores? ¿podéis empaquetarlo de nuevo?

      I noticed that XOOPS 2.3 final has a default module of Protector 2.3. Is this a new release from the previous release 3.17 or is this another branch of the module. Just want to clear of before I install.

      It's the latest 3.20 release by GIJoe, with our 2.3 logo, so we have consistent look and feel. No other files have been changed.

      We'll have to update it here in the repository.
