Description:

The membership module is intended to help sites with large numbers of user manage the user base more effectively. It is particularly good at manipulating the group memberships, allowing you to easily create sub-sets of your users with differing site access.
Features:
  • page to search the users on the site by group or certain fields.
  • Listing page with links to user detail pages that allow editing of the user info and group membership by admins.
  • Admin pages with checkboxes to rapidly add and remove users from groups.
  • Ability to easily change the field labels for user information

    This version contains a major change to the database table. You should uninstall and then re-install to mske it work properly. If you really need to save your existing data, you will need to backup the date fields and then restore them. Contact me *before* you start for help. Hopefully no one is that reliant on this module yet.

    The change is to use the mysql date type instead of the integer type on the date columns. This avoids the nasty issue of the UNIX dates needing to be between 1970 and 2038. Now you can put in dates from 0000 to 9999.

    You can also enter the word "LIFE" to designation a lifetime member. This gets converted internally to 9999-12-31 and stored in the DB that way, but always displays as the word LIFE to designate a lifetime member.

    Readme says :

    It will not work with the 2.1 series. Some of the features are incorporated into the Xoops core starting with 2.1, so this will require pretty much a full rewrite.


    There is a module called Xoopsmembers 1.00.
    You will find a corrected version here (#6). Not tested
