Question
My host offers an old version of XOOPS what do I do?
Answer
If your web host includes pre-installed scripts, xoops may be one of them. Often, they are not the current version and it our reccommendation that you should NOT install an old version of Xoops.

Many core updates are security related as well as bug-fixing and extending the functions and facilites.

For this reason, it is always best that you check to see which is the latest version on http://xoops.org website. Download and install the latest version, no matter what incentives your host may offer.
