Hello everyone,
This is my first collaboration for Xoops.
XDfriend theme is very different from what can be found in Xoops themes, I wanted it to have an index page or the blocks can be displayed and organized as we would like for it I used Smarty Xoops .
The main points of this theme:
- Organization and position of the blocks on the index pages according to your wishes.
- Background of each change for each module
- Integration of the slider just to the index page is no longer active in other pages
- Horizontal menu entirely in CSS 3
- Display number of private messages received in the user menu
The theme is compatible with Firefox, IE, Opera, Chrome, Safari
ExtGallery 1.09 ( RC )
After some bug fix in beta version, ExtGallery 1.09 RC ready for test.
This version development by: dnprossi, voltan, goffy, and some code by Mage and Burning .

Xoops Engine Alpha 1 Released
As announced back in August 2010 (check the article), XOOPS is moving forward with a brand new architecture.

Hinduism Today Upgraded to 2.5
We are pleased to announce the upgrade of the www.hinduismtoday.com web site. We were running on a very old 2.1 version that we installed in 2008. Frankly the theme and home page and navigation etc. were in need of a lot of help.
We want to thank Simon Roberts (aka "Wishcraft") for the upgrade. He re-did the theme and added custom functions in record time.
We were not sure in 2008 if we had made the right decision with XOOPS, but today, this platform is looking really strong and with the help of experts like wishcraft, we are moving forward!

Several researchers have demonstrated that the NeuroGel applied to a lesion of the spinal cord can restore mobility and sensitivity to animals para or quadriplegic. The association in NeuroGel Walk is a unique movement in the world where paralyzed and researchers join forces to fund the first clinical trial on humans of a new therapeutic approach, embodied by the NeuroGel.

What Can It Do for Me?
You can link with any json compliant system with complete w3c standard wsdl these will be completed in version 4.0 they are more just the abstract data layers of wsdl, they still need a dynamic mime type and other system written into them which the constructs are in place. You can transfer data between any sort tunnel through most of not all firewalls and poll your xoops platform from with another xoops or CMS or even things like .NET, Delphi and many other programming languages.
X-JSON is the quick way for cloud computing API's, you can link your xoops platform with any other computer network with this module, plug-in have complete WSDL compilation code and allow for easy and dynamic deployment.

XOOPS Community is the Best!
This year we've made to the Top 5 Open Source CMS in the Packt Publishing's Awards, but unfortunately we didn't make it to the Top 3.
One the judges (Bryan Ruby from CMS Report) published recently his evaluation scores.
The good news is that XOOPS got the highest score for the "Size and Support from Community" - the only CMS which got the "5".
I would like to thank each and everyone who provides support on the forums and is helping other XOOPS users. We have always stressed that our community is the most friendly and supportive, and it's nice to see it recognized and confirmed. Let's keep it going and keep helping each other, and especially those people who are just starting with XOOPS!
Also good news is that we were ranked #4, together with CMS Made Simple, and the difference between us and #3 was only one point.
So there are a lot of opportunities in 2011!
