The XOOPS Wiki site has been renewed

The XOOPS Wiki site has been renewed (thanks goes to mbogosian for creating a nice outline of the documentation) and is now also open to anybody who would like to participate in creating a full-featured documentation for XOOPS2. This means anybody can edit any page on the site at any time. All changes are kept under revision control, and can be tracked on the Recent Changes page, so please do not abuse the system.

Since XOOPS2 has now entered a "stable" stage of development, we will be spending much more time on enhancing the documention until the next release. We also welcome you all to take time looking into the documentation and add comments/pages where appropriate to help other users of the XOOPS Commutnity.

Module developers PLEASE READ

Everyone is now probably aware that I have decided to 'centralize' module development for the good of Xoops, there are many talented developers out there working on their own and the Xoops community would benefit from such a project.

I would like to propose that each one of you (module developers) can work as part of the module development team and this could improve your development and writing skills.

Freeflo Relaunch

Freeflo, a world news discussion site, has been upgraded to X 2.0.2 and is completely redesigned.

Its a good exaple of how customizable Xoops is, it looks nothing like the default layout or any of the themes out there now. A little CSS and template tweaking goes a long way with X2.

Check it out: freeflo.org

Module development team for Xoops v2

I think everyone would agree with my point that one thing Xoops v2 lacks is 'Modules'. I know that compared to the other CMS out there Xoops v2 is new and with all things new, it does take time for things to 'grow'. But in saying that it sometimes doesn't help giving things a 'slight push' now and then.

Hopefully this is what this post is about to do right now.

Many new Xoops users and some old are put off due to the lack of modules within Xoops v2 and this needs to be addressed quickly and could be done quite easily or just let to each single module dev on there own.
