Ephemerids Module (with 70K plus events), ported PHP-Nuke's Ephemerids module to xoops with a block to display. Not so professional but usable.

New Real Estate Agent Sites - Midwest US
Over at XOOPS @ IBDeeming!, we've been working on some new sites for clients. This week, we have released two new sites for agents in the midwest. The great news - we choose, along with them, to use XOOPS!
The sites are KatherineHorne.com and JoleneSchmitz.com
The reason XOOPS was chosen has to do with stability, ease of dynamic content, and speed. We will be releasing very soon, our Real Estate Listing module. This module will be a full-featured MLS for XOOPS. If you are interested in BETA testing this mod, go to XOOPS @ IBDeeming! and let us know in the forums!

theme xf_commerce from xoopsfactory.de on it's way
The next theme from xoopsfactory is on it's way to be released. Again, this theme does not use any tables for positioning things in theme file and is entirely build by using css. (Don't dare to say that it's teached to be fast this time but it IS if you will replace our images ...)
Dunno if there are so much resolutions of 800*600 alive and kicking but this theme will fit with its basic content area.

Newbie goes from 0 to Xoops in 7 days
I built my first and only website in early 2003 with Dreamweaver. I didn't have a clue about html when I started. I still don't know much more that the absolute basics.
But in the last 7 days or so, I went from not knowing what CMS means to having a working Xoops site with a few modifications learned from Xoops.org and a lot of "try it and see" to figure out how the site actually works and get the changes I wanted.
I stuck with the phpkaox theme for the clean and simple look. I tried out most all the content modules and found a couple I liked. The most recent site modification I made was to use Simplified_url to help shorten the urls.
In conclusion, a newbie that could barely (a href) a link in text without checking a cheat sheet could manage to get a clean looking site with all the bells and whistles going in about a week. And even played with some lines of php code, with references from information found on Xoops.org of course.
Man Xoops is awesome!

2 Anime sites now using XOOPS
whttp://www.AnimeNuke.com and my site http://www.SlopeAnime.com are now using xoops. We are both very pleased with the XOOPS cms and hope that it will gain popularity in the anime community.
My site users are excited about the functionality xoops ads along their ability to comment and contribute in more ways.
After using xoops for only 2 weeks, over 1300 members have registered and the site is quickly gaining popularity.
Thank you to all the developers that put so much hard work into xoops and all of its modules.

XOOP-Stats - No Month Display in "Hit Details"
Thanks to some quick reporting by artigas, it was noticed that "hit details" was not showing the months for a given year. After midnight Jan. 31 it only was displaying December 2005. A bit strange, but easily fixed.
A download version will be available later today, but the quick fix is as follows:

A vulnerability was reported in the XOOPS third party Incontent module. A remote user can view the content of PHP files
The module does not properly validate user-supplied input in the 'url' parameter
The author web site is down also please don't use this module before correcting the hole.
