BC Car-Free Outdoor Recreation Portal
We're still sweeping up the sawdust and letting the paint dry but the BC Car-Free Outdoor Portal is now open for business. The site is built around the outdoor guidebook BC Car-Free: Exploring Southwestern British Columbia Without a Car, 340-pages devoted to hiking and backpacking, kayaking and cycletouring and a whole host of nature-wathing activities on the west coast of British Columbia, all of which are accessible via one form of public transportation or another.
You'll note we deployed one of those dynamic themes from linesweb.com and asked many questions of the list to get this far so fast.
We'd love to hear what you think -- good or bad -- and if you see any boo-boos let us know and we'll slap a bandaid on 'em.

- Send reminders to users when tickets are overdue using cron/scheduled tasks

Skinning site based on XOOPS
I'm happy to let you know I was able to start my own site using XOOPS. Without any real experience I think XOOPS allowed me to set up a nice site, especially since there are so many great themes available. My site is dedicated to modifying your desktop by supplying skins and visal themes for Windowblinds, Sysmetrix, Rainlendar, wallpapers and many more. Skinnalicious

Development Update: 2.1 approaching
XOOPS 2.1 is progressing nicely.
I have mainly been working on the Profile and PM modules for managing users, profiles, fields and registrations and private messages, respectively.
Ralf57 has been working hard on a new default theme that will also be in the administration area and I must say I am quite happy with it.
There is still not much new functionality in the package, but it is structured better and it is easier to add functionality to e.g. the PM module now.
