Xoops, ShortURLs, Firefox, and Prefetch
Mozilla introduced prefetch feature in Firefox 1.0.7 (or 1.0.6?) as default and shortly after Google introduced Web Accelerator based on prefetch. The self-claimed goal of prefetching is "to speed up web rendering for users".

Neoblue theme
Guanajuato has released a theme called neoblue, this theme is based on a clean style, in blue tones, This theme is fully compatible with xoops 2.2 and include language files in spanish and english.

xAsset - version 0.85 released
Panther Software Publishing is pleased to announce the release of xAsset 0.85.
Xasset is a Xoops module geared towards secure digital distribution, such as licensed software, mp3 files, documents etc. XAsset provides a mechanism where admins can configure there applications (or media) and issue licenses against there. Clients can then view these licenses and download licensed files.
Changes in 0.85
1. Better mime type handling by using class/mimetypes.inc.php when downloading files.
2. If user has an older order with status "In Cart" then it would be lost if a later order was completed.
3. Added membership expiry support.
4. Updated help file and PDF on new features.
5. Cosmetic changes.
6. Please note that a new table has been added an some table structures have been made. Please click the "Check Tables" link after the update.

Noord-Beveland launches Large Touristic Portal
Lets start the new year with yet another (if I may say so) beautifull website build by SOFTECHMATRIX with use of the Xoops-platform. The site has officially been launched today. This has been a very large project where we collaborated with two other companies who have been doing content and photography. The layout was designed by us completely from scratch and based solely on the Logo that was provided as only guide for layout style and colors.

Adoptie Trefpuntwebsite released
Finally, after struggling for more than a year I've launched the total revision of my website. (the old one still ran on xoops 1.3 oeps)
This site runs on xoops 2.0.1.3.1
It is a Dutch (nederlands) website about everything that concerns adoption. Everybody directly, indirectly involved or with interest is more than welcome at Adoptie Trefpuntwebsite
The site contains a lot of information for everybody. It is a private website but within the Dutch adoption community a well known and respected website.
Some parts I've closed for non paid registered users. And exactly this part is the main procedure change within my totally new website.

A new logo for XOOPS!
We are very happy to announce that XOOPS.org has a new logo! The current logo (which was designed by chapi.de), while served us very well in the past, was showing signs of aging and therefore it was time to have something more modern. The Board of the XOOPS Foundation initiated a logo design contest at the DesignContest.net designers community, with a huge response by many professionals graphic designers from all over the world. After much deliberation the XOOPS Management Team selected as a winner the logo shown below...

Grand Theft Auto Site
I have finished my Grand Theft Auto site after a month of work. It involves, San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City Stories GTA3 and soon once enough information is released GTA4. I hope it is a good source of information for you all. Thanks to gestroud for helping center my start page. :)
