XOOPS Site of the Month January 2006
XOOPS Sites: Here we are with the results of January 2006 voting. Not as much votings as we have seen in the last months, but therefore we got not as much spam as we have seen before.THE WINNER IS : dslnachpankow.de
In the comming months i will continue to look for people who want to help reviewing sites and i’m still thinking how to categorize the voting into groups such as “best design”, “best community” and “best content” etc.

EFQ Directory 0.1.1 alpha version released
I am happy to announce the first test release of the EFQ directory module. EFQ directory is a module that allows webmasters to manage yellow pages like directories within their XOOPS installations. Because it uses customizable data fields, the administrator can set up custom made directories and categories.

I have decided to publish a set of modifications (hacks) to apply to the Xoops News module.
That's a kind of FAQ
summary
- How to replace "xx bytes more" with "xx more words"
- How to have a number of articles different in the table you can see at the bottom of each article
- How to use an enhanced editor for registred users and to keep the basic Xoops editor for anonymous users
- How to change the number of meta keywowrds generated by the module
- How to forbid the module to search inside its own comments
- How to have a link to the full article's path
- How to only enable registred users to rank articles
- How to list recent articles in the same category
- How to modifiy the author's list so that it is sorted
- How to do to have your next article's number begining at 1000

Simple Accounts (SACC) V1.0 Released
The Simple Accounts module (or SACC) is a building block module that is aimed at assisting Xoops business systems developers.
SACC provides the following functionality;
* Multi organisation accounting (accounts for >1 organisation can be kept in the same system, thus once the module is installed, many applications can use it.)
* Basic on screen journal entry of accounts.
* Hierarchical accounts
* A program API based on xoopsObject that can easily extended for additional application functionality
This is the basis of all future SACC development.
This is the last and only release (other than bug fixes) for the Xoops V2.0.x platform. All future development will be for Xoops V2.2.x and beyond.
In this release:
- All administration moved to Xoops admin backend.
- System documentation complete
- Trial Balance block added
