INSTALL
--------------------------------
Normal module installation.
Be sure the "Use custom session" value in Preferences - System - General Settings is on.
The webserver should have write permissions on these folders:
shop/images
shop/images/banners
shop/images/categories/
shop/images/uploads
shop/blocks/cache/english
shop/blocks/cache/your_additional_language
Admin Url : /modules/shop/admin or you can access from the Xoops Admin through an iframe
Default Admin Username: admin
Default Admin Password: admin

UPDATING From Zen Cart Xoops
--------------------------------
- Make a backup.
This release of zen cart have big changes in almost all the templates so if you have installed contributions
or customizations you must manually merge them later.
- Upload the module and replace files (Some files and folders can be removed, take a look at modules/shop/docs/2.readme_how_to_upgrade.html).
- Apply your sql patch in modules/shop/admin/sqlpatch.php

FEATURES

1 Language Integration
The language selected in xoops will be the language shown in Zen Cart Xoops.
(You must manually install the adittional languages) Find yours in http://www.zen-cart.com
2 Theme Integration
The "XoopsTheme" Template in Zen Cart lets you maintain the same aspect of the page for the shop Module.
(The theme selected in xoops must use correctly the variables xoops_showlblock, xoops_showrblock and
xoops_showcblock)
You can use the template variable $isshop to determine if the module is currently open through your theme.
3 Blocks Integration
Through the block "Zen Cart Blocks" you can select all the static sideboxes and some center boxes of Zen Cart.
The blocks must be rebuilt. (Modules - Zen Cart Xoops - Build Blocks Cache).

multiMenu 1.8 - final version: when multiMenu goes dynamics
multiMenu, final version is now available.
This is a menu manager module which allows creating up to 8+2 custom, compatible and independently configurable menus (including dynamic and static links - standard menu, list, select boxes, context, dynamic, context and many more menus).
The huge change on this version concerns the templates management (no database change). To upgrade from 1.7 to 1.8, replace old files with new version, and update your module. For webmasters using “custom templates” you will need to update your custom templates manually through the template manager system.
The 1.8 is now compatible both with Xoops 2.0.x and 2.2.x version.

MediaWiki For XOOPS 1.58 alpha is released
After a long time of internal test, the MediaWiki For XOOPS alpha is released upon mediawiki 1.58.
The integraton project is hosted by XoopsForge.com with significant contributions from Xoops China community.

XOOPS 2.x API documentation is back online
After I moved the host, xoops.info is back. XOOPS.info has published XOOPS 2.2 code documentation. It uses phpxref version of documentation. Referenced xoops code is available as part of doc.Doc is searchable for classes, function, variable and constants used in code. It will be valuable resource for XOOPS beginner. Experienced developers may take advantage of the doc as reference material for module developments. The doc will be also a good resource for any new php programmer as reference material.

Based on XOOPS and using a dana7 theme the website offers free classified advertising, a business directory, email facilities, community news, Yass forums and an area to post Yass photos and let visitors know what to do in and around Yass.

Thanks to your massive support the XOOPS project was voted first runner up in the Sourceforge.net Community Choice Awards for the Development category! Gaim, the popular open source multimessenger, recieved the most votes and won the Development category.Being first runner up in this contest is an acknowlegdement of the contributions everyone in this community has made. WYSIWYG Projects merged
Fellow xoopsers,
i'm really glad to announce that two of the most used and appreciated WYSIWYG editor modules are now merged into one big project.
I'm referring to frankblack's "Inbetween" and "TinyEditor" whose development was currently stopped.
The project will keep the name of "TinyEditor" but will bring all the features that frankblack developed for Inbetween plus additional work that will be done in the next weeks.
The module is hosted at Xoops Dev Forge and you're all invited to stay tuned since the first release (1.0) will be published very soon.
Frankblack is the new project admin.
Feel free to report your ideas, features request etc using the tracker to make developers' life easier and development faster.
I hope you appreciate our decision and contribute to TinyEditor's development.

A friend of mine, who is using WordPress with the GeminiBlue theme a long time, asked me if I could port the GeminiBlue theme (from geeksmakemehot.com) to xoops so that he could use a forum and the other nice things I’m able to use with XOOPS within a layout, his visitors are used to.You can see a live preview following THIS LINK.

LDAP Library v0.5-beta1 released
This is the first release of LibLDAP, an attempt to integrate LDAP into XOOPS. The module is for developers only and provides the common interfaces for XOOPS-DB-interaction (XoopsObjectHandler) to a LDAP-repository.
A special feature is the meta-handler (MixedObjectHandler) that can have more than one real object handler and syncs the data in all backends.
Maybe this is of use to someone.
