CBB 3.04 RC4 is released
CBB 3.04 RC4, the final RC is released.
Notes:
In the release, check for topic ID is added when a post is inserted according to a "weird" problem reported by marco.
Template tuning planned in the release is postponded to next release, perhaps 3.05. By then, new sets of templates are expected along with Xoops 2.015, with which Skalpa will demonstrate real xhtml/semantically correct output for XOOPS.
Known Issues:
MySQL queries for massive data synchronization are still working for MySQL 4.1+ only. We have solutions for 4.1- versions, but with very poor performance, so not released. (See examples below)

XOOPS 2.0.14-RC1 released
The XOOPS development team is pleased to announce the release of XOOPS 2.0.14-rc1.
This is mainly a maintenance release containing a lot of bugfixes, but it also provides many enhancements implemented to lessen the gap between the 2.0, 2.2 and 2.3 branches.

Buzau Live.ro
Buzau Live.ro (portal for my native city) is my first and only site based on XOOPS. I'm working on it since August 2005 and every week I add or delete something, I improve it, I test different modules. It became a hobby.
It is based on XOOPS 2.0.13.2 with a little hack on URL rewrite, central blocks, templates.

Revised Xoopsiquette - your comments please
We are about to put a revised version of the Xoopsiquette into place. We have made some changes to the current one which which served us well for long time and therefore the changes are not that big after all.
Now we would like to hear your comments on this one first so we don´t have to correct it shortly after putting it up.
One of the main goals was to keep it simple (and short). You cannot create that many rules anyway as situations would be possible.
Please use the following thread for discussion and comments:

I would like to think we are all adults and there are no insults but reality proves us wrong here.

The SmartFactory is very proud to release the new version of its articles management module SmartSection 2.1 RC 1 ! XBS ModGen V1 Alpha Released
Ever wanted to write a module for Xoops but don't know where to get started? Are you writing for Xoops and find the initial module setup tasks boring or tedious? This module writes a complete module skeleton for you and enables you to setup the user side and admin side pages and menus, configuration items and underlying data tables. You have to provide the page logic but you are safe in the knowledge that you are writing in a secure framework as used by all XBS modules.
Features:
- Form driven entry of all information required to create module
- Setting up of following module items
- Name, tag and directory information
- Author, language and country information
- Module configuration items
- MySQL table creation
- Admin side and user side menu and pages
- Shell functions for module installation, update and delete
- Shell functions for search, comments and notification
- Framework to include common function in every page
- Structured approach to including language specific and non language specific constant defines in every page
