The SmartFactory and XOOPS.org Firefox Search Plugins
Fellow XOOPSers ! I know some of you already did this in the past for previous version of Firefox but I thought I could share this anyway with you again for the latest Firefox 2.0 release ! I have created a Firefox search engine plugin for The SmartFactory, FRXOOPS.org and another one for XOOPS.org. In summary, this means that you would be able, at any time, to search either one of these sites using Firefox search box ! These plugins uses the Open Search description format for search plugins. Plugins that use the OpenSearch description syntax are compatible with IE 7 and Firefox. Because of this, they are now the recommended format for use on the web.
Conjecture - replacement for comments
Have you ever thought that it is annoying with comments being different from the discussion forums?
Have you ever experienced double-postings in both comments and discussion forums?
Well, Cusix Software has a possible solution: Conjecture.
Conjecture adds a block with comments that are actually forum topics - residing in a forum that is configured through the administration.
That way, you won't need a separate comments block for some discussions and a block for forum topics, fragmenting discussions and encouraging double-postings.

"a flexible feed aggregator. It downloads news feeds published by web sites and aggregates their content together into a single combined feed, latest news first."
