Some months ago I customize my site using a theme from : Xoopsfactory, I used the xf_05_2007_lightblue theme, of course the actual theme doesn´t resemble the original.

WF-Sections V2: New Exploits and Security Issues (Users MUST READ this)

As always, XOOPS developers are committed to ensuring the highest security of XOOPS code. The message below comes from Catzwolf:

If you are still using WF-Sections v1+ and v2+ then I suggest that you read this please.

It has come to my attention that there is a few very bad security exploits that some people could use to gain access to your website. I suggest that all users of this module should either:

1. Deactivate the module for the time being (recommended) or..
2. Renaming XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/modules/wfsections/ratefile.php and print.php.

I am now in the process of doing a full audit of all the WF-Sections code and closing these and all possible security risks that may arise in the future.

I will keep you all posted on an update.

XoopsGraphs coming to XOOPS 3.0

We are very happy to announce that XOOPS will include JpGraph library with XOOPS, starting with XOOPS 3.0

JpGraph is a Object-Oriented Graph creating library for PHP >= 4.3.1 The library is completely written in PHP and ready to be used in any PHP scripts (both CGI/APXS/CLI versions of PHP are supported). The library can be used to create numerous types of graphs either on-line or written to a file. JpGraph makes it easy to draw both "quick and dirty" graphs with a minimum of code as well as complex graphs which requires a very fine grained control. The library assigns context sensitive default values for most of the parameters which minimizes the learning curve.

Simon Roberts (aka Wishcraft), who recently joined the XOOPS Development Team, has been working together with DJ on JpGraph conversion to XOOPS for the XOOPS 3.0 release, as part of our GraphFactory. With this, XOOPS users will be able to create various graphs on the spot, thus expanding the use of XOOPS in the business and scientific areas.

XPETITIONS 0.18 Final

Module XPETITIONS developed by INFORMATUX is in final version 0.18. The test phases are finished and no more error have been reported by the users.

New version 0.20 is in progress with a planned development towards Beta and RC in version 0.19.

The new functionalities will be soon available and could be tested next week (week 17-2008).

At the program:
- Choice of the signatures validation by email or double click (admin - customer)
- Choice of the editor for the petition seizure (xoopseditor, koivi, fckeditor, inbetween, tinyeditor, htmlarea, spaw editor) - (admin)
- Management of the emails contents sent to the signatories (admin)
- Forced Validation of the not validated signatories (admin)

Mykart, a XOOPS module for Karting results

A few months ago, one of our customers specialized in the karting world, asked us to create a module to manage sports results.
That's when "Mykart" was born.

With this module, our client can manage circuits, rankings, pilots, teams and racing results. (plus some other elements like meteo and the different types of karts).

After this information is entered, the circuits owners can enter the racing results (by course, by pilot and/or team), and when they are done, the module creates pilots and circuits ranking.

In addition to enabling pilots to manage their own details, it is possible to see the results of each driver per race.
Some statistics indicate the number of races, the number of podiums, the number of pole positions and their best time in the race.

Actually, the module manages more than 300 pilots and more than 280 circuits.

AJAX was once again used to improve the user experience.
For example, the module allows the auto completion of the fields that contain pilot's names or number.
