Olédrion, a native e-Commerce module for XOOPS by Instant Zero
The XOOPS Community will finally have a native top-notch eCommerce module!
In 2006, for two of our clients we developed Bookshop, an eCommerce Xoops module for selling books.
Development of this module was a great learning experience and we've received a lot of feedback and ideas from its users, so we decided to developed something more generic - Olédrion.
Olédrion (which previously was also named "Myshop") is a Xoops module based entirely on Bookshop, but which allows the sale of any items, not only books, i.e. sale of "physical" products as well as of intangible products (such as PDF or download files for example).
We are very pleased to announce that today we are releasing this revolutionary native XOOPS eCommerce module to the XOOPS Community
Before to give you a summary of the module's features, we would like to draw your attention on 2 points:
1) The module requires PHP 5 (a very recent version)
2) A recent version of MySQL is also necessary (at least a 4.3)

18/ Compatibility with XOOPS 2.0.18.2 AND XOOPS 2.3
The module is available in French and English.
The English translation is not of good quality so we are looking for people to improve it.
We are also looking for translations into other languages.
If you are able to translate the module in your own language, we would be grateful if you could contact us through our website.
Writing documentation is underway and once again, we will call for the community to help us in its translation into various languages.
The module's Logo and Icon were difficult to find, therefore we would love to receive some ideas from the artistic talents of the XOOPS community.
With regard to the discounts manager, we tried to make a manager that is as flexible as possible.
However, each case is unique and you should no doubt that it's not possible to make a module that meets the demand for each, therefore there might be some customization needed.
Similarly, on methods of payment, there are an infinite number of online payments, some are even specific to some countries.
At the moment, the module comes with 2 methods of payment:
1) Paypal (which is an online payment widespread and very reliable)
2) "off line" payment (you can validate orders manually)
If you need an online payment method or a specific discount manager, different from what is currently in the module, you can contact us so that we estimate the work needed.

Netquery v4.13 Release
Version 4.13 of Netquery, the complete PHP/SQL open-source toolkit of network utilities, is now available for download here and on the author's web site at http://www.virtech.org/tools/
Netquery's major features currently include the following:
- access monitoring & log managment,
- spambot "bad behavior" screening,
- geoIP & top countries usage mapping,
- multidomain & IP/AS whois lookups,
- autodiscovery for whois TLD server,
- DNS and Dig (ANY, SOA, NS, MX) queries,
- email address format & MX validation,
- port check with services lookup option,
- HTTP HEAD and GET requests,
- ICMP pings (local and/or remote),
- traceroutes (local and/or remote),
- looking glass router interrogation,
- updateable geoIP & ports data paks,
- user inputs with admin notice & approval,
- multi-instance sideblocks in CMS editions,
- admin selectable CSS stylesheet options,
- full W3C XHTML 1.1 & CSS compliance.
The version 4.13 release updates Netquery's access monitoring and spambot screener functions based on Maxmind's August 2008 GeoIP release and version 2.0.22 of Bad Behavior. It is fully compatible with the latest Xoops release v2.0.18.1 and the Netquery demo test site is running under that Xoops version.

New Module Logo design for XOOPS 2.3
In preparation for XOOPS 2.3 release, we're changing the Module Logo design.
As mentioned in our WOX Newsletter #10, our XOOPS Friends in Spain Eme3Design developed a new look for the standard Admin Theme (see here...).
We liked the idea a lot, so we've decided to follow it and change the logos for the XOOPS 2.3 release as well, but with a blue color. We believe that the new design makes them look more modern, professional, and hip
We would like to see all the XOOPS modules that have been successfully tested for XOOPS 2.3, to change their logos to the new look, so our users know that a particular module will work in 2.3.
If you have Photoshop, you can also use this Photoshop file to make your logos for XOOPS 2.3.

Article Management System (AMS) 2.50 Beta 2 Released !
After 5 month of development, NovaSmart Technology proudly announce Article Management System (AMS) 2.50 Beta 2 to be released to the public.
AMS 2.50 main target is to incorporate all "must have" features for modern article management module without sacrificing performance.
Whats New In AMS 2.50 Beta 2:
This release focus on enhancement to spotlight features. User now able to add new spotlight template painlessly, can attach template preview image and given access to the template variable manipulation through php script attached with the template.
Simply put the template, template script, preview image accordingly and update/install the module, everything will be auto detect and setup accordingly.
Whats New In AMS 2.50 Beta 1:
With this release, user will have new experience in submitting and editing articles with 3 best wysiwyg editors (FCK Editor, TinyMCE and Koivi) and built-in xoops editor.
User also now have ability to choose whatever editor they like straight from the edit/compose form without admin intervention. For admin, they have full right to enable this feature and even to choose which editor they want to be available to user.
This release considered not stable. This is last BETA version of AMS 2.50 and new features freezed (except minor). If there is no critical bugs found, AMS 2.50 Final will be release in 2 weeks time.

CVD Releases Video Tube v1.63
This release was a major step for us since it adds Daily Motion video support. Previous releases were based solely on YouTube. We have also provided XOOPS site search, XOOPS global comments, an improved portable video preview overlay, video wall blocks and two additional video display formats. We still have a few items on the wishlist for Video Tube v1.7 but the majority of requested features have been addressed. Once we receive feedback on the incorporation of Daily Motion and finish the last tweaks so everyone is satisfied, we will start development adding MetaCafe, Revver and blip.tv.

Release of XOOPS 2.0.18.2
The XOOPS development team is pleased to announce the release of XOOPS 2.0.18.2.
In this release permission check ini imagemanager was fixed by dugris. A bug was fixed for custom session with regenerateId enabled.
Meanwhile to prevent further confusing information about 'fct' parameter in admin.php that might concern XOOPS users, the parameter is now filtered.
