Multilingual Tagged Content Pages

X-Center is a content module for XOOPS 2.4 and later, it uses the latest techniques to hone easy to present content on a standard page. it has an Inheritable block and all the accessories for Tag and other features. It also supports X-Language and multilingual pages with the same ID.

With this powerful module you can easily make content with any xoops site with version 2.4 or later. This is the only and must have for content with XOOPS.

No worries ptomter was the brain child and tester of this module, he gave me the specifications for it, you have Frilogg of Norway to thank for them depreciating an older version of their commerical module and migrated into the GPL classes on chronolabs.coop!!

On my site:
I've found two problems:
1/ SEO doesn't work cause the name of the module is "content" in the seo rewrite rule:


RewriteRule ^xcenter$ modules/content/index.php$1

You should change all of them in this way for the SEO to work:


RewriteRule ^xcenter$ modules/xcenter/index.php$1

2/
In some themes I have a problem with the text, witch is all in bold, because there is in the file /templates/xcenter_breadcrumb.html:

There's only a mssing "/" in the closing -strong- tag. Maybe that's the cause. It should be:

There will be a paid version of X-center called Deluxe Content, coming soon with many cool and new feautres.

Any suggestion we would appriciate to make the best of content module for Xoops 2.4.5 and 2.5

Depends which format of hTML you are using strong is XHTML for bold. b is for HTML.

All my templates are XHTML which i am fluent in.

I have also patched the zip the new checksum is in www.chronolabs.coop/binaries/xoops2.4_xcenter_2.01.zip,220 you can download it from there.

Hi,

When installing into a fresh copy of Xoops244 I get the message "The category did not save successfully " when trying to create a new category.

I get same issue on your demo site -http://xoops.demo.chronolabs.coop

I did check the permissions. Any ideas?

I get following error while viewing content created by xcenter with anonymous or another registered user.
No Permissions to View Page or Content

I can view same content with admin user.
By the way, I checked group's module access rights and I set all permissions from xcenter's permission tab to anonymous and registered users.

Hi hrac how are you? In the permissions tab depending on what permissioning mode you have, basic, intermediate or advanced there is a drop down box. The first preferences are default, but in basic you will also be required to change and set page permissions which is selectable with the drop down box in the top right hand side.

I am unsure how you are experiencing this error if you have enabled JSON Secure forms, you will be required to have NO DEBUG enabled as it disturbs JSON. Most of the editors don't work and I am not sure how frankblack is going with CK Editor for JQuery environment i still don't know why this one wasn't deploy initially as it was decided to include JQuery.

Module looks like a continuation of a series of modules, the "Content". If, however, is to be the only one for XOOPS: Are you planning support for publishing dynamic pages written in PHP. Moreover, if in future versions, we can expect PageWrap function?

I am having xoops 2.4.5
I downloaded the "Zipped" pack, and uploaded only "XCenter".
When trying to install, I got the following error

Error: Smarty error: [in db:xcenter_cpanel_json_addeditblock.html line 15]: syntax error: unclosed tag \{else} (opened line 15). (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 317)

Why so?

Edit the specific template (look at modules/xcenter/templates/) and add a < at the beginning of the last {/ if}>.

Hi Riazshahid, how are you? I tested the link and it seemed to download without any problems I also tested the archive and winrar replied:

If you do get this error occassionally please be patient and wait for systems to come online again as we are in a new data farm that we are part of constructing in malaysia. Soon we will have ultra fast hosting especially for xoops..

Yes, installed it successfully now. I will go through it deeply and will update here about my observations if any.
Is it possible we can rename it as we want? There should be some easy way to do so. As far as I know this feature is missing in nearly all modules of xoops, once some one made a module "free section" which was a hack of "smart section", this was the only module which can be renamed to any name.
Secondly how we can add more than one copy of this module? is it possible?

Is there no support for "Unicode" in this module?
I put some unicode text in "Urdu" language in "Menu Title" and "Page Title" and nothing is appearing as a result.

Regarding renaming the module. Everything is possible if you want to. But why the !"# do you want this, isnt it better to suggest things to improve it than making "dupicates and dummies" of this module?

On my side I think no modules that are developed should have an easy way of changing names or be cloned, as it is a part of that modules identity.

And if they dont like the module, why dont they create a module that gives them self satisfaction and what they want!

This module uses the new Unicode Variables in the object management in 2.4 series and later, this is for storage of Unicode at it lowest byte level so even without a UTF Database it will still store and display unicode in the full capabilities of escaped byte sequencing.

Mind you not all database system or even browsers still today support full unicode so I cannot assist you with this error.
