I am very happy to release Inspire 8, another theme of the Inspire series. Now there are actually 9 themes (I count Inspire 3 and CSS3 reborn as two themes : each of them has a distinct design. To tell the truth, I didn’t think it will go that long when I first created the project. I think I might stop at the number 6, as it is thought to be a fortunate number in Chinese culture. I would like to say thank you for those people who has been supporting me.

Features

1. Compatible with IE6 (it is IE6), IE7, IE8, Firefox 1.5+, Chrome 4.0+, Opera 10.0+.
2. Large slider included in the header. It should be manually adjusted in the Lite version. The slider will be integrated into XOOPS in Premium version(comming soon).
3. UnitPng Fix for IE6. You are right! The transparent PNG in the slider is working in IE6.
4. 1kg grid system is integrated instead of 960 grid system. For more information, please visit the official website.
5. About block system: left and right blocks are displayed in the sidebar and other blocks are displayed in the content area.

Anything about the Premium?

The premium version is still “working in progress”. But I can tell you my plan, which is subject to further change!

1. Integrated slider in the header. And there will be more than one way provided.
2. Search box added in the header.
3. Some icons with JQuery animation effect in the header.
4. Login slider or tooltip.
5. User panel slider or tooltip.

License and Misc

Since XOOPS is licensed under GPL 2.0, This theme is also licensed under GPL 2.0. To be specific, theme.html is Licensed under GPL 2.0. Although you are allowed to remove the credit in the footer, I would be really appreciate it if you preserve that. CSS files have their specific licenses and can be viewed in the source code. There are two images in the slider example. They are licensed under CC 3.0. If you would like to continue using them, please do not remove the credits in the description. Of course, you are free to remove the images. Other images are licensed under GPL 2.0
