1st ever XOOPS Radio Commercial

Posted by Mamba on 2010/6/2 16:30:00 (4216 reads) | Posted on XOOPS
Last month, Wischraft arranged for our first XOOPS Song

Now we have our first ever "radio commercial", thanks to the hard work by Culex and his friend VOGuy (Dallas Shewfelt) from Acton, Ont Canada.

This is so cool!!! Thank you Culex and VOGuy - you did a great job with it.

And we love these kind of ideas!!!

So if you have any other ideas on how to promote XOOPS, just make it happen!!! Just like Culex did!!!

And put this commercial on your Website, send it to your local radio station, make it be heard around the world!!

this was good fun. I sent to a number of my old contacts but no reply. Think the php, mysql scared them off. Good thing Dallas responded and fearlesly jumped at the voice-over.

If any feel up to making a speak in local translated language this is the text from the english version.

Very nice and well done.

(Is the background music free of rights?
You don't want to get a letter from some artist his lawyer, to ask for the usual advertising broadcast fee!)

Very good! I was actually convinced that Xoops was the best!
I've been watching some video tutorials in nettuts and they have a 30 seconds commercial before you are allowed to see the video. This radio commercial could be used in such videos. It is short and very appealing.

Congrats!

@Ghia, lol good question actually. I was looking for some slow-depressing polka or something in the beginning, but managed to find null without copyrights... and ditto with the dance part, but used a sample without any rights for the dance and ended up klikking my way through the bars in Fruito loops until I had the beginning, so actually I am now a composer - next goal is music/text for Eurovision 2011 *lol*

Sure Denmark won june 1990 and (google is my friend) and in 1963.. I remember only the one in 1990

- Seriously I'm not counting to win next year... top 3 will do for starters..

Dont know who'll sing but any suggestion also for songtitle are welcome

Cool, Culex... :)

btw! according to the experts (wife and daughter) the best song in Eurovision was the Madcon song in the pause, the rest was probably the usual crap?...lol

So go for it... can't get worse... :D

I already did move on from they idea, before I learn how to master FL my idea of music will be considered granddaddy music...maybe better to spend my time making modules and watching World cup

My exact plan too... :)

Btw! Here is the Madcon video I was talking about earlier, I was pressured by my daughter to watch it and it turned out to be pretty cool... :) Good coordination to be live... (for all you other nerds that was coding instead and missed it too... :)
