XOOPS continues to show a strong presence in the Open Source CMS market, as shown by the number of downloads of its latest stable releases.

In the first ten weeks after releasing of 2.4.4, it has been already downloaded more than 20,000 times.

Including the versions of 2.4.4 that are released locally (e.g. French, German, Russian), the number is even higher.

Our thanks go to all developers and contributors who make XOOPS the best it can be! And of course to our wonderful XOOPS Community for its continues support and contributions.

There will be soon a release of XOOPS 2.4.5 RC (see the Beta release here), and XOOPS 2.5.0 Beta (see the Alpha 2 release)

XOOPS rocks!

Yes, Kris is ABSOLUTELY right!!!

This is definitely not a call to sit down and relax, but the opposite - to show that our hard work is paying off and that because of it - we're making good progress! And therefore we're asking the community to get more engaged and help us out! As you can see, your time is well invested!!!

And our progress got the attention of the industry, as this recent comment from WebmasterFormat indicates:

After several years of suffering a development drought, XOOPS is quickly regaining its hold on new webmasters and pushing to become a premier open source CMS once again.

We need help from everybody to accelerate the progress and get there quicker!

So the question for all of is: "What have I done for XOOPS lately?"

Obviously Kris is the best example what can be done for XOOPS -by creating and converting all the new themes, and other work related to XOOPS! Thanks Kris for all your hard work!

Congradulations, the wcag 2.0 has been reported to be working well, I haven't had any bug calls from the people i have mentioned it too that where looking at how complex the inclusion of it was in drupal. But those i will follow up in time.

Thanks trabis it was a pleasure developing it with you, I hope in the RC, you put the two refactorised cleanVars in i sent you.. it is a \' \" bug.. here is the forum post.

That is the only bug in there. Wonder when i get SVN Access back phppp.. Seeming least now we can charge for currency and money with XOOPS and the new DECIMAL field type.. What about scientific notation like floating points, with 2.4.5 and earlier there is no problems with these new fields..
