Just letting you know I will be attending part of HackFest in the Google Offices Tommorrow - When I last checked there was 88 remaining tickets.

This year the Open Australia hosted event will be concentrating on mashups, you have seen one of these featured in on of my modules called X-Reaggregator.

I will be representing Xoops as myself in Australia's HackFest 2009..

Well my wife got bored of the event so we left after lunch, it was interesting talking to the google guys and girls and some of the people where interesting as well.

Mashups are interesting, they are websites that utilise API's of things like twitter, yahoo, google, facebook etc and re-aggregate the information in a new method, When I have finished the PDO, I will probably spend some time makin a module extension for XOOPS that makes making mashable sites quick and easy.

And example of a mashable site was www.gome.me which is a longitude, latitude resource center for topical of twitter -> and use as an example by one of the speakers. From what was exampled it used Twitter, Yahoo and a few simple code functions to make a site which tells you the magitude of a topic on twitter with trends based in locational information.
