After tagging a few News 1.63 articles, when I click on a tag (.../tag/list.tag.php), all I get is a reference link to a page on Google or Technorati or Flickr's site rather than a reference in my News articles.
See $GLOBALS["TAG_MD_ADDONS"] in main.php
Is there a more complete Readme document somewhere?

I tested the Tag on Article, and it works very well there.

Hervet, the plugin could be placed in the include folder and named 'plugin.tag.php'.

then in news module folder, found file:
extra/modules/tag/plugin/news.php
and renamed it to plugin.tag.php and moved it to the news/include/ folder. Now a XOOPS TAG search includes hits in my site's News articles that were tagged.

- Instead of placing the module's name in front of the tag title I would suggest to place a module/content related icon, like in the Search page.
- The links to Google, Technorati and Flickr can be replaced by some nice buttons too.

good question. this is xoops. no instructions needed. u r supposed to be able to read the developer's mind.

in simpler english, this means copying the
news.php file
from /modules/news/extra/modules/tag/plugin
to /modules/news/include/plugin.tag.php
after that,
go to Modules, and do a Module update on the News module
after that,
go to the News Modules preference and Select yes to this question: Use the tags system ?

Re: XOOPS module Tag 2.30 RC is releaseddoesn't work for me either. like, at ALL. I installed it but got all sorts of errors with inline errors turned on, and now I have two blank module entries that I cannot get rid of, because when I try to uninstall them I get this:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getInfo() on a non-object in /home/liquidfr/public_html/dialetheia/modules/system/admin/modulesadmin/main.php on line 211
Is there any way I can manually remove these blank module entries from my listing? They really bug me
