Gaming Clan Theme

Posted by dniezby on 2006/7/30 16:05:37 (6472 reads) | Posted on Themes
In keeping with the spirit of Xoops, here is a theme for a gaming clan that I designed. It's available for free.

It's my first full theme ever designed, not just a modification of an existing theme.

I originally had the same block design for the center blocks as the left blocks but haven't yet learned how to get the graphics to apply to them. It's ok though. The theme works well the way it is now.

Hope you enjoy it.

Oooops, I'm sorry. I just installed the downloads module and forgot to set permissions properly.

You should have no problems downloading the theme without creating a website user account now.

A user had reported to me a problem with their left blocks not showing up. In checking out the issue it seems that I forgot to update the theme.html file with the code that I used on my actual site.

I will make these changes to the download as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you wish to simply do the fix yourself here it is.

OPEN theme.html and find/replace the following.

FIND: nssclan

REPLACE WITH $xoops_theme

There should be 6 occurances of the text.

This will allow the theme.html file to find the included block files no matter what you've named your theme directory.

Sorry for the xoops...LOL

I have updated the theme.html file with the corrections as noted in earlier replies.

Does anyone still have a copy of my theme? I didn't realize that I had removed it from my server and haven't been able to share it with everyone.

I can't believe no one has messaged me about it considering the number of hits it's had.

If you have the file, please let me know.

I wish...

It's been so long since I designed it I don't even remember that. That's why I've come back to xoops.

I had gone away from CMS sites all together but have since come to realize that they're just a better way of designing sites. Especially with XOOPS and it's ease of design.

Now I'm just trying to refresh my memory of designing for it.
