Hi,

when i go to XOOPS main page i am receiving blank page after setup installed successfully.

i am running mysql 5.1 with phpmyadmin and it is working without any error.

i also tested phpinfo(); and it is working.

windows 2003 IIS6 + PHP 5.2.9-1 fastcgi + mysql 5.1

on my server those are the settings:
display_errors = on
memory_limit = 128M
Multibyte Support enabled
cgi.rfc2616_headers = 0
cgi.force_redirect = off
fastcgi.impersonate = 1

and IIS_WPG and "internet guest account" have read/write permissions
cache
template_c
uploads
mainfile.php

i have also checked xoops forums site for white/blank page problem no good solution found.

what could be the right solution?

Please help!!!!!!!

Hi. I am also having this problem. I didnt have any errors during installation

I am running on a VPS server under IIS 6 and PHP and Mysql.
I have 2 other sites running under PHP and Mysql and they work fine.

It seems to be a common issue to a few people having the blank start page.

Can anyone advise please

that maybe the case Wishcraft, but several users on IIS6 and not Apache are having problems.

IIS6, PHP, MYSQL only.

If anyone can shed light on this issue, it would be much appreciated

IIS6 is very complicated for having the right rights settings. You must give rights from within IIS and from within file security manager for a few user classes.
There are some posts about IIS on this forum.
Make sure you have all the translated or duplicated language files if you use a language other than english.
Have also the rights set for all the subdirectories.
Having xoops_lib and xoops_data outside the web root may also impose problems.
Try also at first without Protector.

i have done all the rights settings from IIS and only i removed the "read only" box from the "windows exploer" on mainfile.php.
and the only language i have is english + xoops, and i did not move any folder out of the xoops root folder.
during installation i did not install the Protector module.

help plz...!!!

Same here.

I have just completed again for the 3rd time a fresh installation on my IIS server.
Still blank pages. I can get to the admin menu as before . No modules installed. No code modified.
All stock standard and still white pages
very frustrating

yayh1 / dunrovin,

I know you said you set permissions on ./cache and ./templates_c but you also need to ensure you set permissions on some of the /xoops_data directories as well.

Here's step 7 from the installation documentation (found in the ./docs directory):

Quote:
Make the directory /xoops_data/ writable; Create (if not already present) and make the directories /xoops_data/configs/, /xoops_data/caches/, /xoops_data/caches/xoops_cache/, /xoops_data/caches/smarty_cache/ and /xoops_data/caches/smarty_compile/ writable.
