This is a proof of concept module.
It is based on the work of Simile Widgets.

I discovered this over at Drupal and thought this would be an excellent addition to xoops. So I put this together. I might take this further and make it into a full fledged XOOPS module.

It uses ajax and javascript to populate the timeline. In my version the api is local.

@Kaotik,

I am going to move this to the new Module Development Testing Forum, if that is ok with you.

I am trying to keep module development in one area in the hope that you guys find it more useful and people will know where to look.

Good idea, will be a very useful module, widening XOOPS use possibilities.
(attaching text + photos to events, etc' ..)

Definitely this module is useful. I used to work at an archive as the IT guy and I know they certainly need a module like this one. So please go ahead and continue its development.

If anyone's looking for a timeline module, this one (using MIT's Timeline) is available.
