People like them who make me really mad. How did I findout about them? One friend of mine wanted to start a community site like MySpace and I suggested Xoops. He looked around and said Xoops might be too much for him to handel but he foundout a script that might work for him and showed me this site

Anyone get the source code of this application so we can have a look if it really is breaking the GPL? (Sale of GPL code *is* allowed, restricting redistribution of GPL code isn't).

I can tell this much, it isn't Xoops 2.0.x or even 2.2.x. More likely Xoops 1.3.x, RunCMS or e-Xoops.

I can tell you, it is xoops already.
Actually they have cloned the addresses(1.7) module several times into blabla directory, models and the rest (except for the news module) and sell this/these product/module. Yes I know GPL, but to say it is nice... Quit honest I am getting somehow a bit angry of these practisizing.
I know I am right because I developed this module. It is an exact copy of it.

Now, I think this should tell enough. They restrict people/user and do as if they've written all of it. I think this is GPL violence or otherwise I don't understand the license.

shine, you're absolutely right. This is a clear violation of the GNU GPL. And it's definately not nice either. So it's illegal and rude.

I'll see if I can get some legal action on this!

all 3 domains (popscript.com, .info, webmasterof.com) are registered through http://www.domainsbyproxy.com/LegalAgreement.aspx

This means that the real registrant is unknown (at least through Whois). It is a prvate registration service.

So for now, all we have is e-mail addresses (admin@popscript.com). I'll try and get a lawyer to write a cease and desist letter, with a deadline.
