localhost config problem

I performed a successful install of XOOPS and setup some basic stuff (forums/contact) and externally can connect to the website but once connected viahttp://massiveoverload.com/xoops/index.php everything starts looking to localhost for data. I know this must be a simple config error on my part but don't know where to look.
any suggestions? thanks alot! :)

maybe: replace the references of localhost in mainfile.php and in your sql data (export your sql to "yoursite.sql" and replace allhttp://localhost.... ocorrences)

just a opinion.

does indeed sound like mainfile.php still holds the localhost value as virtual path.
