Hi,

I've also place a post like this in the newbee corner, but i see this theme place here, so I thinks it better to place my question here

Is it possible to use a other toplogo? like my example
http://www.arjanversloot.com/example.jpg
The menu options as in my image like home, new, biography, download... is just plain text, no images or roll-overs.
how to realize my wishes?

I hope you understand what I mean.

My english is also not good, sorry for that.

so many thanks.
Greetings, Arjan

I use flash for my 'fancy' horizontal menus... you may use straingth html (in your theme.html) for simple horizontal menus.

You can see the fancy horizontal style at:http://eirenicon.org (go to a secondary page)

Simple horizontal menus may be viewed at:http://fbctogether.org

If you'd like to see the code for either theme.html, let me know where to send a copy.

I've tried to put my menu over/on top on a image, but every time the menu show up under the image.

I've edited with editplus, I use this always. Is is better to use a other?

Here's a pice of code:

<body>
<table width="100%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="okvir">
<tr>
<td>
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0">
<tr id="header">
<td id="headerlogo"><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/"><img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>images/logo.jpg" alt="Design by 7dana.com" border="0" /></a></td>
<td align="center" id="headerbanner"><{$xoops_banner}>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2">&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table>
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td width="180" class="headerprvi">
<form style="margin-top: 1px; margin-bottom: 0px" action="<{$xoops_url}>/search.php" method="post">
&nbsp;&nbsp;<input class="button" type="text" name="query" size="10" />
<input type="hidden" name="action" value="results" />
<input name="submit" type="submit" class="gumb" value="search" />
</form>
</td>
<td><table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td class="pozdrav"> &nbsp;&nbsp;<{if $xoops_isuser}> Hello <a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php"><{$xoops_uname}></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php">your
account </a>&nbsp; <{else}> <a href="<{$xoops_url}>/register.php">Register
now</a> on mysite.com! <{/if}> <span class="right"> <{if $xoops_isuser}>
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php?op=logout"></a> <{else}> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php">Login</a>
<{/if}> </span></td>
<td align="right" class="vrijeme"><span id="clock"></span> <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>images/clock.js">
</script> &nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%" border="0">
<tr align="center">
<td width="288" bgcolor="#6B6B6B"></td>
<td id="headmenu"><a class="menuHead"
href="<{$xoops_url}>/index.php">HOME</a></td>

<td width="1" bgcolor="#d7d7d7"></td>
<td id="headmenu"><a class="menuHead" href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/news/" target="_blank">NEWS</a></td>

<td width="1" bgcolor="#d7d7d7"></td>
<td id="headmenu"><a class="menuHead"
href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/mylinks/">LINKS</a></td>

<td width="1" bgcolor="#d7d7d7"></td>
<td id="headmenu"><a class="menuHead"
href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/newbb/">FORUM</a></td>

<td width="1" bgcolor="#d7d7d7"></td>
<td id="headmenu"><a class="menuHead"
href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/mydownloads/">DOWNLOAD</a></td>

<td width="1" bgcolor="#d7d7d7"></td>
<td id="headmenu"><a class="menuHead"
href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/contact/">CONTACT</a></td>
</tr>
</table>

I want the menu in the left on the image and the time and date at the most right.
The user login I don't want that on that place.

Anyone will help me.

If you can't do it for free, i totally understand.
I'm from the netherlands, is there a dutch forum maybe?

Thanks again.

I shame myself for asking so much.

Hi,

I've used this on my old wesite and this works.

<TABLE width="911" border=0>
<TBODY>
<TR>
<TD width="911" height=142 vAlign=top style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(images/toplogo.jpg)">
<img src="images/pixel.png" width="383" height="109"><BR>

&nbsp;&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="index.php"><b>Home</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="index.php?item=biography"><b>Biography</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=discography"><b>Discography</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=studio"><b>Studio</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=gallery"><b>Gallery</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=downloads"><b>Downloads</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=forums"><b>Forum</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=links"><b>Links</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="a.php_keyword=contact"><b>Contact</b></a>&nbsp;
<a class=alternate href="admin.php"><b>Admin Login</b></a>&nbsp;
</TABLE>

I've placed this in my XOOPS theme, but the toplogo don't show up.
In the original theme i see this
<td id="headerlogo"><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/"><img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>images/logo.jpg" alt="Design by" border="0" /></a></td>

How to use the <{$xoops_url}> in my example above?
The top logo needs to be placed as a background.

Thanks

arjanv:

Either put your logo in your theme folder and use <img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>logo.jpg" alt="Design by" border="0" /> or create a folder called images within your theme folder and place your logo in that folder, take your pick!

Hi, when i use this the logo is not defined as a background.
<img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>logo.jpg" alt="Design by" border="0" />

Anyone know the correct code?
