Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 12582912 bytes exhausted at (null):0 (tried to allocate 44 bytes) in /home/restricted/home/redepsi/public_html/portal/kernel/object.php on line 175

Xoops 2.0.6
PHP 4.3.2

memory_limit 12M
safe mode OFF
register globals ON

This happens when I go to preferences/mail configuration

I have near 2000 users

I think its related to other topics, but I did not found a solution for this error

at the other topics the solution was related to group configurations and you could lower the amount of users displayed at a given time.

But at mail configuration all the users are displayed at once....

Is it possible to fix this problem??

Regards

Oliver

how many users do you have in your xoops?

if possible say the php version and the variables of php

This problem may be related with the list of users displayed in the box.

and this problem was already reported here but only at other areas of the xoops.

and I did not found a solution for this area in particular

Go to www.xoops.net.br I've posted this error there too.

@ Editor.. your problem can be solved by following the instructions in this post >

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=16236&forum=21&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&start=10

as for the mail problem, i have the same, and i think it is along the lines of the user system, but as yet i have not found a fix for it. only way i can edit my mail preferences in admin is by doing it through phpmyadmin..

more info about my machine:
MySQL 3.23.58
Apache/1.3.27

I have the bug when sending mass mail or private message to registered users too....

It's strange that a system like XOOPS still have this problem with a important system funcion.
If you are unable to send messages to your users this is a very big problem.

I know nothing about code and development. But I think that for the /preferences / mail configuration the problem could be solved if we had the same box of users as we have in other parts of the system (when they appear in a number defined lists with (1) (2) (3)..... (10) )

But for the mass mail problem I dont have a clue about how to solving this.

And for me in particular this is a big problem, because I'm about to put my XOOPS site in production and I have to send a message to the users about the new site....

also the great ammount of posts about this issue shows how important it is to the XOOPS users.

This XOOPS site has 15.000+ users and I wonder if it has the same problem or not.

PS: where in phpmyadmin do you change the mail preferences?

you can find the mail settings in phpmyadmin by running this query:

SELECT * FROM `xoops_config` WHERE conf_catid = 6
