Tomorrow I want to install a testing site so you can see in practice what has been done in the admin and once the work is progressing I will updating the site for testing.

hello herve,

about tcpdf inclusion,
would it be possible to include fpdi too (also an fpdf extension),
in order to have at least those two features :

- to include an existing pdf file, and being able to write on it, to have a pdf page as a template for pdf output
(pretty useful so that i don't have to write everything on a pdf when all pdf to generate are pretty much the same :) )

- to encrypt the pdf, in order to restrict it (print, open, comments, and so on)

?

as i already tried, you could chain both extensions of fpdf.

My suggestions :

- Media uploader (images, video, flash, sounds, etc.)

- Groups and blocs interface. It's quite tricky actually to find out which bloc belong to what module and so goes with the group permissons). A good example of what can be done is the GIJoe's bloc and group manager interface for modules. Anyway, having the possibility to select datas regarding modules would be good.

- A customisable admin homepage. Instead of having that awfull blank page, get the possibility to insert a custom text (or even shortcut links). A simple textarea in the admin settings could be a good start.

- Modules settings/preferences with a categorie system included (or available).

Agree with you Solo,

- Media uploader or media manager sounds very good to me. The image manager is out of date and too limited (that's why I use Tinyeditor with iBrowser plugin). The media uploader/manager should be able to upload the different folders and have the possibility to move/copy media files between these folders. Some config settings for scaling, creating folders, renaming, mimetype settings, etc. should come with it too.

- I think the block settings and group permissions of XOOPS 2.2.x are better/clearer then XOOPS 2.0.x. Maybe integration of the SmartBlocks and the suggested GIJOE modules is an idea (best of each).

- Yep, the preferences should be split up in categories ( general / images / disclaimers / .. ) per module to prevent too long Preferences pages.

better ways to limit module permissions easier.

How about cloneable blocks? I still cry every time I think about having to leave this feature behind to go from 2.2.5 to 2.0.17. If you were here you could hear me sobbing (I passed sniffling long ago).

I really don't understand why everyone is not begging for this. It makes XOOPS and all modules so much more flexible and greatly reduces the need to clone any individual module.

And, if not in 2.0.18, then can someone say when it might be included?

Hi,

GiJoe blocksadmin module gives you clone for blocks (at least in XOOPS 2.0.13)
