Tweaking PD-downloads

I m using PD-downloads as a download module. It works fine and I am very happy with it.

I just need to change they it downloads files. I tried searching forum and applying few things that could find but none worked they way I want. So I need your help to do this,
Now what I want is

When a user click on download button, the file should start downloading immediately, in the same window without refreshing the page.

I have seen this on certain sites using Mydownloads module so it must be possible with PD-downloads as well.

Please help me

Here is an example of what actually i want

http://www.xoops.net.br/modules/mydownloads/

This opens in a new window but i guess that can be changed by changing target="_blank" to target="_self"

Even if it can't. That is what i am looking for.

Sorry no one could assist yet - but don't forget people don't always check the site every day - so it is possible that someone who can help, may not have seen the post yet.

If you don't get a reply in the next day or so - please simply post "bump" or something similar on the original posting... as it may be missed otherwise.

I would try and help you, but as a member of the SmartFactory team (and formerly WF-Team) - I am more used to WF-Downloads which this module was losely based upon.

Why don't you ask krobi, the maker of the module?

He should know.
