Good day,

is there any way i can make my news display better on my website welcome page.
ie. One news items from each category are displayed with thumbnail and a news introduction.

An example of what i am talking about is added.

Quest, what i was asking was is there any news module or code i can add to the news module to make the news display like the websites i listed.

i want the news from each channel to be listed with thumbnails and introductory text.

Similar to what zmagazine module does.

yeah, i wish there was someone who can give us heads up about this feature and if XOOPS will be able to do it.

Xoops ia a great CMS but i kinda wonder in respect to the design and layouts.

Should be possible to customise the standard template, especially using 2.0.14/15's over-ride function, and to make something like this yourself....

i tried changing the template for the New module block "Recent News" but because of my limited knowledge in smarty tags and php i was not able to achieve much.

The code for "recent news" is

<ul>
<{foreach item=news from=$block.stories}>
<li><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/news/article.php?storyid=<{$news.id}>"><{$news.title}></a> (<{$news.date}>)</li>
<{/foreach}>
</ul>


is there any way a picture can be added to this code, and some small introduction text?

Please help needed from the Gurus.
