I read in forums about new release. My host let me choose php4 or php5. What should i choose for the ractored XOOPS 2 core and about official modules?

This is quite simple i think, maybe u forgot to update the system module after doing the change.
Don't forget to clear the templates_c folder also...
U've got the site up and runnig so whe can have a look?

Hey all!

I've never done no theme before so i'm looking foward to here some sugestions from ppl more experienced then me on this subject.

Any feedback is apreciated.

The theme is mostly in gray colors and i've changed the display of the columns so it doesn't have that dull "3 column" look.

Please 4give me 4 being such a 0 at php, but if the visiter simply enteredhttp://whatever.com/register.php would that hack still work?

If i hit 'Preview', i get the error, if i try to post it, it doesn't get posted because it gives me the error 1st.

Im using 2.0.7, and im gonna check my textsanitizer for changes.

they work, but they give me an error when trying to post the word perl or some huge code

Hi all!
I've gotz a tiny little problem at a website im runing.

the xoopscodes [*code]/[*quote] don't work well...4 example:

[*code]perl[*/code] -> works fine

[*code] perl [*/code] -> gives me a Quote:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, XXXXX@sapo.pt and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


and it doesn't matter if i use the [*code] or the [*quote] xoopscode, both give me this strange error... and it's only strange because:

[*code]blablabla[*/code] & [*code] blablabla [*/code] -> works fine


im going crazy on this one... can anyone help me out?

Ace_Armstrong i think i know what the problem is.

We had that same prob down at XOOPS Brasil, and a user found that the auto-login hack only worked for him if his theme was using the default template!

To do so this, go to Ctrl Panel -> System -> Preferences -> General Settings and check the templates box (it's just below the box where u choose ur theme from) to see if ur using default template.

I have a sugestion:

u can use XOOPS Brasil GroupShow hack to have ALL ur users listed in a page, with their avatar and the pm icon already showing next to their nickname

GroupShow hack is very easy to use, u can download it HERE and if you have any problems, just drop us a line (english is ok to be used) and we'll help u.

This hack is displayed in a block, so u'll need to specify the block to be shown in a certain page. Again, if you don't know how, XT will guide u.
