I've searched within xoops.org for this issue but only could come across the thread about adding it in a block. I know that I have to add <$xoops_banner> code, but how do I specify the banner id?

oh i put there Google ads so i can see it all in adsense reports. it's not a banner from a definite customer, although i can't wait to check out the XOOPS banner tools.

my bad. i messed it up with cells and tables in the theme.html and that caused a blank page, not the code itself. the code worked just fine, thanks a lot guys. the reason why i didn't want to use it in a block is that I am trying to optimize the page CTR and I've noticed that if you put a banner in the block users tend to neglect it ( i dont know why tho). so it gets only about 1% CTR, when 5% CTR is preferable.

I need to add a banner on a homepage only, but I do not want to put it in a block, just want to add the code in the theme.html. I know that I need to do something with <{if}>...<{/if}> but not sure what exactly.
