First thing u can do it from administration menu >> News admin. >> News Configuration >> General Configuration >> select NO for :
Allow anonymous users to post news articles?
Auto approve news stories without admin intervention?

Second thing .. ask XOOPS developers

Thank you for ur reply..
My project is intranet syste for a company have many departments, so they want DMS module for each department with admin user that can add users to his module and have no permissions to another modules.

I'm thinking now to install XOOPS portal for each department, but i need single cpanel for main admin.

Thanx .. everything ok .. now i wanna make another block named "Alerts", it's same News block but i wanna add small icon after date, there r 3 icons ( Red, Green and Yellow ) accourding to alert type.
I think this need to make hack or modifiy to News editor to make selectable checkbox or dropdown menu with 3 icons.

permission for permission !

Hello,
How i can give permission for user ( module admin. ) to add user and right access, i means he can add user in onew module ( eg. downloads ) so this added user can access only to download module, and module admin can't see to another modules groups and right access ?
Is this possible in XOOPS ?

I use recent news block as test block and make some changes, but <{$story.text}> not working :

Hello,
I have same problem, but i wanna put java script ( dynamic menu ) in the header, so when i drop down any menu, it's appeared with same screen width
Is there any tested dynamic menu working with XOOPS ?

How i can make block have 3 items only as following :

( date ) story.text ... read more

it's same recent news block but i don't wanna title, just date then first 2-3 line of story then read more link for extended story.

News Module inside Another Module

How i can make news module inside another module have news, authers, db tables different that main news modules at main page ?
can i copy another news module inside this module folder or clone news module and make block for it in this module ?
