Hi Peekay

How about xoops2.2.x?
There is no system_imagemanager file in the xk_editor for XOOPS 2.2.x.
How to get the "insert into wysiswyg" into image manager ?

Thank you.

The system_imagemanager file is in the main xk_editor class folder that you download (not the wysiwyg folder). In XOOPS 2.0.13.x you need to copy the contents and update the templates/system/system_imagemaneger template. The imagemanager gains an extra button to add the image to the Koivi textarea.

Hi jimbofoxman

Are you using the koivi editor that comes with XOOPS 2.2.x ?

Are you able to upload and insert images using the Image Manager?

I am able to upload image, but i cannot insert the newly uploaded image, unless I get out of the Image Manager and come in again.

Thank you.

gui

My problem:

I am using XOOPS 2.2.4 (upgraded from 2.2.3), and it comes with the koivi editor.

I am able to use koivi editor in my News and SmartSection modules, but there is a problem with inserting image.

When I click on the 'MANAGER' (Xoops Image Manager), the Image Manager window pops up and I am able to upload an image. But when I click on one of the alignment icons under Align to attach image into my article, the image does not get inserted. I have to close the Image Manager window, and click on MANAGER again and then go to the image and click on one of the alignment icons in order to insert the image. That is, when you upload a new image, you cannot insert it at first, you have to get out and get into the Image Manager again to do the insertion.

Image Manager doesn't work this way when I am not using koivi.

also, images in the 2nd page of the Image Manager cannot be inserted at all.

Can anybody help?

Another problem, when I have more than 1 page of images in Image Manager, images in pages other than the 1st page cannot be inserted at all!

I wonder in koivi is compatible with XOOPS 2.2.x at all!

Can anybody help?

Thank you.

hi cjcomm

1) What you do mean by "the extension pack"?
"Don't use the xoops-fckconfig.js file from the extension pack."
I don't think any of the 'extension' packs, i.e., personal pack, intranet pack, community pack, etc., has the fckeditor, except the one built-in with the content module. Or are you referring to xoops22_editor_fckeditor.zip inhttp://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/forum/forum.php?forum_id=994 ?

2) What do you mean by "{Use the fckconfig.js file from the FCKEditor site."? Download the fckeditor from FCKEditor and copy the fckconfig.js file there into the fckeditor folder (from xoops22_editor_fckeditor.zip)? That'll will give a Default Toolbar not found error. I used the fckconfig.js file that was found in xoops22_editor_fckeditor.zip.

I followed all your instructions and still couldn't upload images or create new folders. I am able to do these in the Content module's FCKeditor.

Is there any other thing I should do?

Thank you.

Collapsible menu in Custom blocks

Hi

Does anybody know how to make a collapsible menu item in a Custom Block - like in Main Menu block?

In XOOPS Main Menu and other system blocks, clicking on a module item will cause it to collapse into its submodule items. For example, clicking on News will cause Submit News and Archives to appear. However, in my custom blocks are links to XOOPS Content module pages and not modules.

I've tried Smarty in Custom Block and obviously Smart does not work in the Option Contents of Custom Block. I've tried Multi-Menu as well but it is for modules and not pages. I also tried Javascript but it does not work for internal links - the collapsed menu closes once the href link is followed through.

Thank you very much.

Gui

Okay, I've found a way. Smarty and Javascript do not work. Have to use PHP.

Hi Everybody

I am trying to have collapsible menu items in my custom blocks - like those in XOOPS Main Menu and other system blocks where clicking on a module item will cause it to collapse into its submodule items. For example, clicking on News will cause Submit News and Archives to appear.

However, in my custom blocks are links to XOOPS Content module pages and not modules. For example, I have a custom block called Office and there are 3 links in it, namely, Admin, Finance and IT. When user clicks on Admin, the Admin sublinks (Vacation Leave, Sick Leave) will apear below Admin in the custom block, and the Admin main page will also appear in XOOPS center column - just like clicking on News in the XOOPS Main Menu block.

I tried to use Smarty in the Options of my Custom block but it didn't work.I also tried Javascript but it does not work for internal links - the collapsed menu closes once the href link is followed through.

Can anybody help?

Thank you very much in anticipation.

Gui

okay, I've found a way - smarty & javascript do not work. have to use php.

Hi Jeremy

Do you mean adding a module to a block and not vice versa?

I also have the same problem as you. I'm trying to use Smarty tags in custom block, and it didn't work.

Can you share how you resolved the problem?

Thank you.

Content Module - Insert/Edit Link in FCKEditor not working

Hi

The Content module is great, but I seem to have problem adding a link using the FCKEditor WYSIWYG editor (the Insert/Edit link icon).

The FCKEditor seems better than TinyMCE except for this minor Insert/Edit link problem.

The Insert/Edit link of my TinyMCE editor (which I installed and added to the News module) also does not work! Maybe it has something to do with XOOPS settings and not the FCKeditor or TinyMCE editors?

Any idea how to get add link to work?

Thank you very much in anticipation.

gui

Okay, I think I've found the 'solution', but it isn't neat.

http://wiki.fckeditor.net/UsabilityProblems

when you intend to make a link and select the "link" icon, it doesn't make a link if you did not have some text selected.

*

one solution could be to have the link icon disabled until you have some text selected
*

another solution is to open some <a href....>x</a> and put the cursor where the x is, so all one type after the link dialog gets into the link as text
*

or generate <a href="http://www.example.com">http://www.example.com</a>
*

or, put another input box in the link creator dialog for the link text. if something is highlighted when the link button is pressed, the selected value is preloaded into this field.

Dear jdseymour

What can I find the 'full article' that provides the instructions for the upgrade from 2.2.3 to 2.2.4?

I couldn't find it in XOOPS or warpigw2.com websites.

Okay --- I just found this :
https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2813

Thank you very much in anticipation.

Hi Quest

Thank you for the reply, but this is not what I meant.

I want to include my own html/php scripts in the center column using the header.php, mainfile.php and footer.php. I am able to do this but the tables in my html scripts don't appear correctly. This is because the center column in XOOPS is itself a cell (<td>) in a XOOPS html table.
