I'm thinking of using TDMDownloads for my next project. This is what I understood the best and most up-to-date download module for Xoops right now.

I see you can create extra fields in the module. That's awesome. Because I need that. However, i'm trying to put links in the fields but they don't become clickable. This is useful if you want to have more download mirrors for a file or want to link to more websites.

Can this be fixed somehow?

Sorry, have forgot about this thread.

I used this to rename the file structure:http://www.1-4a.com/rename/

and this to search and replace inside the files:http://www.replsoft.com/

Here can you download my module renamed 'movies:http://www.speedyshare.com/JAKQY/movies.zip

No problems so far.

I really like this theme:http://www.xoops-theme.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=187

However, there is a problem with the blocks with latest Xoops version.

This is how it looks installed:

Resized Image

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I thought I was the only one with this problem. But it working on my local test installation. I have upgraded my site a few times. I suspect a bug in the upgrade script.

Clear cache folders and upgrade system module doesn't help.

Thanks, I doubt that hack from 2004 will work with latest Xoops. But maybe worth a try.

Please core team. Add this feature to next Xoops version. All others CMSes and forum software have this.

This is requested by one of my users on my site. Have played around with the preferences in the module. But this seems to be not possible.

However, I found a "hack" here:https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1858

Download link is broken. Anyone have the hack to share?

I think it is a good idea to have this feature in next version of Xoops/the PM module.

The Dhtml editor is old and outdated. Sure it has just the options I need. It just needs little polishing.

And I don't like how it outputs code. For example if you insert a smiley. Then you will see the code and not the image in the editor.

Solved it.

There is a file in xoops_data/caches/xoops_cache/_editorlist

1378607743
return array (

'textarea' =>
  array (

'title' => 'Plain Text',

'nohtml' => 1,
  ),

'dhtmltextarea' =>
  array (

'title' => 'DHTML Form with xCode',

'nohtml' => 1,
  ),

'tinymce' =>
  array (

'title' => 'TinyMCE',

'nohtml' => 0,
  ),
);

Changed nohtml to 1 for TinyMCE.

Now, I don't know if i want to use this editor. Isn't it a high security risk to allow your users to post html?

Strange bug with editors

I can not stand the default editor anymore (Dhtml editor) So I decided to use TinyMCE.

It works. But if i click preview button then Xoops switch to the plain text editor. Then there is no way to get back to TinyMCE again since TinyMCE is not visible in the editor list.

I have set the editor to TinyMCE in modules preferences. And also set the default editor in newbb/include/plugin.php.

I have also tried to update the system module and forum module. But it doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Maybe this is a bug? Since it happens on both of my sites.

Using:
Xoops 2.5.5
Newbb/Cbb 3.08
