Ahhh! I have never used it, so hadn't got that far in understanding it.

What about the multi-site hack available here?

This hack apparently demands considerable expertise to set up. As Jan Pederson says, "be warned"/You will find discussion here.

Personally I prefer to use multiple installations. Much less chance of messing things up.

I think it's a cool idea, but I'm not in a position where I can offer to test it. Thanks for working on it and for letting us know.

I am not sure what you mean by "using the lastest one". Content, authored by davinci27, is at version 0.5.

What I like most about this module is the ability to order items in the module's "main menu" and its submenus. I put that in quotes, because that menu is not the XOOPS Main Menu. What I have done (on a new version of my site that I'm rebuilding in XOOPS 2.2.3) is to hide the XOOPS Main Menu (making it invisible in XOOPS blocks admin) and to rename the Content site menu to Main Menu. I don't think you can order the menu items by using the Add Main Menu Item link that is visible to admins. However, if you go to admin/modules/content/add-edit content, you can set the order of menu and sub-menu items.

You can also set them to visible or not. Visibility here refers to the visibility of menu items. I use several that are set to not visible for pages that I want to appear after a certain user action but that I don't want to appear as menu or submenu items. For example, I use one such page as the return page after users have completed a Paypal purchase.

Hope this helps.

I like to use a module for this purpose, rather than a custom block, and my favorite is Content. You can also use others, such as Tinycontent. I have used both Tinycontent and Content to show pages with buy now buttons using Paypal. Seehttp://aka.org/modules/tinycontent2/index.php?id=4 for example. That's on a XOOPS 2.0.13.2 site, which I am rebuilding under 2.2.3, where I'll use Content instead.

You should be able to restrict visibility of blocks to certain module pages. What version of XOOPS are you using?

The test site on which I tried treemenuxl is running under XOOPS 2.2.1. I need to update it and try again.

I remember that I had problems with certain browsers not seeing the treemenu menus, but looking at Ruby Willemsen's site using Firefox on Windows and Mac, it now seems to work. I have updated Firefox since I originally tried it, so maybe it was a Firefox bug.

There are still problems with some modules. For example, if you use AMS, the Submit submenu doesn't appear when you open the folder in treemenu. I also have the XOOPS Main menu still showing and if I click on AMS in that, showing the submenus, then click on the AMS folder + icon in treemenu, the submit submenu does show.

All I can say is that at the time I found enough inconsistencies that I didn't want to use it on my live site, even though I do like the concept. I'd really like to be able to use it.

Someone needs to email Ruby to see if more work is planned on treemenu and to convey the news about the white page problem on rubywillemsen.nl.

Unfortunately there are other problems with TreemenuXL 0.6. I have posted to the author's web site about these. In my hands the module does not work consistently with all browsers. For example, using Firefox on a Windows machine the menus don't appear at all. Other browsers also have problems. In addition, some modules don't behave properly. I can't recall every detail. I posted to the author's site back in August, but none of these problems have been fixed. Now if you try to access one of the forum topics you get a blank page.

I'd love to see someone with Javascript expertise fix this, because I really like the idea.

I posted this earlier, but apparently it did not upload.

I just want to echo your observation. I have been rebuilding my 2.0.13.2 site under 2.2.3. On the latter I have the same problem. When I log in I get the "Why am I being redirected" page. Even so, I am still logged on and can access admin pages, etc. If I change my password, the first time I log back in it does not happen, but does with subsequent log-ins. On my system this is not a software firewall issue, because it happens when I have no software firewall running on my machine (a Mac running OSX 10.4). It seems that this message can appear as a "false alarm" and it is very annoying. I don't feel that I can go public with my 2.2.3 rebuild until it is solved. Core developers, PLEASE take a look at this. We at least need the ability to turn off this option. It would be better if the problem could be diagnosed and fixed.

Thanks but no go! I should have said that I'd tried <div align="center">path to image</div>, but Liase doesn't recognize html codes. I tried your variant just now and that doesn't work either. The html markup just appears as text.

Any other ideas? this seems to be a weakness in the XOOPS standard editor.

Hi all,

I am using the module, Liase for my Contact Us functions. I would like to include an image at the top of some of these pages. Liase uses only the standard XOOPS Editor. In that one only seems to be able to place an image to the left or right. I have tried the code [ img align=center]path_to_image[/img ], but that doesn't work. The image is still aligned left. BTW, the extra spaces are in that string so that it will appear in this message.

Is there any way to do this? My site is still running under XOOPS 2.0.13.2
