When I lost the Module repository before, I realized this was going to happen again and made a sincere effort to move or duplicate all of the offerings to the wiki where those who use it could maintain it.

Re: turning off allow_url_fopen

I installed MediaWiki and in the install they pointed out I should have the have the allow fopen turned off. I asked my server about it and they simply turned it off for me. Apparently that is a function only they can do from the server level. After my request, (not because of it), they turned off that function for all the sites they were serving. As a Security measure.

I don't know about protector.

SEE Results

This works on any site with any word combination.
The key is put your search criteria first then the word site and colon then the name of the site you wish to search.

I use it all the time to search this site, even better than the internal site search.

I see that genre.php was modified 8/30/2007 (one of the files in the zip package) The latest on any of the rest is 12/2004.

I don't have the technical ability but if I did I would try commenting out this part where the redirection takes place and see what it did ... keeping a copy of the original of course so I could back out of any changes I had made.

Frankblack is the name attached to the zip file so maybe he will be able to help you. I see he posts here every now and then. Hopefully he will see your request.

This may offer some help,

    catweight int(4) NOT NULL default '0',
    PRIMARY KEY (genreid)

I think I saw once where the auto increment from empty may cause a problem. Maybe manually doing the first one via directy entry into the database will get it started.

These are just uneducated ideas, they may not work at all.

Blocks Administration:
Show blocks visible in | Top Page | Group | Visible | All

There is a drop down menu at the top where you can select which groups the blocks are visible to. Just in case you missed it. Then of course are the checks for turning visibility on and off.

This is the same but the display is done differently in xoopers which may help you understand what you may have missed on your setup.

I wondered about that, it looked like a piece of spam that gets posted regularly on my own site.

I didn't know they could do that on XOOPS blocks.

Do a search on that word in your MySQL database and see those results give you a hint.

Much better - now on the footer you have two links that are not visible because the link is the same brown as the background. You might need to try a workaround on those links. (maybe small images, like the XOOPS cbb img just above.)
