Read the anonymous post givinga suggested way of generating sub-menus from the database. Please tell me if anyone manages to get this working.
Thanks
Simon

Re: IE 6 changes for embeded content

Latest update: The patent office may expire the Eolas patent.
That would make this a non-issue.

Has anyone implemented this on their menu? If so, does it work? What is the full code required? Replies much appreciated. Thanks,
Simon

Did you comment-out both the line containing the "if" and the line containing the closing "}"?

modules/newbb/blocks/newbb_new.php

//if ( $options[1] != 0 ) {

$topic['time'] = formatTimestamp($arr['topic_time'],'m').$tmpuser";
[
color=ff0000]//}

I've seen this on my own sites also. As it only does this very rarely, and loads properly after a refresh anyway, I've always just put it down to the CSS file not loading properly.

Hello Trevor,

I just realized I misled you! I was thinking that the flash block was tinycontent, but actually it is a custom block. All I did was create a custom block with the following code. I don't know if this is the best way, but it does work. Quote:
<div align="center"><object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" width="400" height="350"><param name=movie value="http://clcfamily.net/friends/images/church/start.swf"><param name=quality value=high><embed src="http://clcfamily.net/friends/images/church/start.swf" quality=high pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"; type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="400" height="350"></embed></object></div>

Set the content type to HTML and it should work.
I don't know if the same thing would be possible in TinyContent or not - it seems like it should work.

Hope that helps....
Chad

I think he mean when add a new article in sub-section, you can see the title in the parent-section's index. Like this:

Pet articles
(dog)A white dog
(cat)A black cat
(dog)My cute doy
(dog)Good dog
Sorry for my poor English.

There is a dynamic sub-menu solution which might help you. For my part, I am not sure I can implement this myself, so if you find a way, please tell me Thanks.

Re: Short Urls for Xoops 1.3

If you are on an Apache web server, you can use mod_rewrite. The examples in this thread are for Xoops2, but, you can adapt them to XOOPS 1.X. It also includes links to additional mod_rewrite information and documentation.

Apache mod_rewrite success

I hope that helps. (If you end up with questions, please post it to this thread on 1.3 that you started, so that it doesn't take the Xoops2 thread off track. Thanks.)
