OK this has got to be a really big newbie question. It seems I can not get my news stories to appear on the front page. I have the headlines appearing the way I like. I have some other blocks played around with a bit.

However every block that has anything to do with News only lists links to the news not the news blocks themselves as they do at the bottom of this website on the main page.

THank you for not laughing

All hard coded text etc has been removed from WF-Sections.

That's great !
You should publish a new version no ?

I am thinking about removing the filemanger from WF as it is no longer needed now really. You will be able to upload images etc via wfsections itself now using the upload class.

Why not but give authors of articles the possiblity to remove the files they have submited.

Thanks for your answer.

Bye,
Hervé

Just thought I would post my findings. There is a way this will work. You just need to edit your hosts.txt file. This file is located at %SYSTEM_ROOT%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.txt where %SYSTEM_ROOT% is default to "C:\Windows"

I hope everyone will find this information helpful.

I will not fork your module... You are doing sooo much more work than I am. As I mentioned above, I have a functioning way of doing what I want right now (manually).

WF-Channel is great because of it's simple implementation. I love that. I also understand that that is why it may not have the capability I need. WF-Section (as much as I have looked at it) is much more powerful, but does not provide the ability to have multiple main menu entries with there own arbitrary sub muenu entries. This is what I, and I would imagine a lot of others, want to do.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this seems to be a limitation of XOOPS not the modules. I can not create multiple top level main menu entries from a single module. If this is indeed true, I can at least create a very easy to configure module that can be installed multiple times. This gives me the multiple top level main menu entries I need. If I am way off base... Could someone kindly point me to a single module that does create multiple top level main menu entries so that I may check out how it works?

Thanks,

Jason

I'm trying to get this one sorted out as well. I'm testing a local set up where other XOOPS developers need to have access to my local system on a different port than 80. As for setting up the DNS, what software can I use to access localhost through a full domain (running XP currently, other software required for developing restricts the OS options to windows only).

Thanks

File Format for importing links needed

I have created my categories and now I have many links to add.

I am familiar with how to run an SQL query on the Db, however I require the file formats and any possible special instructions if necessary.

I figure I am not the first to ask so is there a link to the docs on this I can read, please.

Thank you really enjoying Xoops.
