How about getting people to say whether you have to register or not in the desciription of the download when they submit it to xoops? Then people can choose whether they want to register with them or look else where??

In a short term ideal universe, this would be perfect. Although I doubt many people would rmeember to do this.

Once the modules have been moved to the official repository, there will no longer be a need for people to register on x amount of sites. Except for the occational hardcore developer or people who want the lastest fixes that won't be in the repository and can only be gained by going to the authors site.

Just my 2 cents so far.

Shouldn't be that hard to do really, but I am in the process of finishing of a new improved version (hopefully lol) of WF-FAQ Module and will be putting it out for a test run soon.

I have a problem getting the contact us module to display in my control panels. I rank it 5 and downloads "0" but downloads is displayed and "contact us" is not.

I would like everyone viewing my top start page to be able to view the poll box and "contact us" link before logging in. I have set the modules to be viewable from all pages but that only works after logging in. How can you make them viewable before?

this is driving me to drink.

I, too, would be most interested in how this turns out. I was sort of wondering about this the other day when I was working on some FAQs in the core FAQ module. My dilemna became whether, and how, to switch over to WF-FAQ and how difficult it would be to migrate my existing FAQs. That's about as far as I got, though.

Create a custom block, and set it's weight to '0'. Depending on your theme, it may or may not float to the top. You may need to edit your theme to display blocks before content.

This is the current (almost) Spanish language pack.

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/xoops/xoops_v2_spanish.zip?download

You can also search to find language files for most modules, and quite a few already include Spanish language files.

I recently set up an English/Spanish website (still hacking xoopsgallery) at the following address the ML hack:

http://bugs.hop.to (sorry about the pop-up)

Click on the flags to change languages

You can search xoops.org for multi language to find some useful info on this topic.
