Hi,

I just can't get this thing to work

I want to use spaw with wf-section. In stalled spaw as module but now way i can get it to work as the tutorial describes.

Can someone explain me wich files in need to edit with what lines. Pfff it's just too hard for me hahahaha.

Go to System Admin > Templates and clone your default template set firstly! After that you were able to edit the cloned templates. Also don't forget to select the cloned template set in your site preferences.

Is there a setting off on my install? When I go to edit a particular block template, I only see a "View" button and no "Edit" buttons to change what's stored in the DB.

I have always changed them in the DB manually, but this is really a poor work around.

Any suggestions as to what I'm missing here?

I did CHMOD 0777 ./sample_module/templates/* but that did not seem to change anything.

"db%3A" is normal. %3A is the ASCII code for ":". The compiled templates are prefixed with "db:" because the template source files come from the database.

It's safe to delete the files in templates_c, since they'll be regenerated as needed. Don't delete the index.html file, though, since that helps prevent people from viewing the directory listing.

Hi Catzwolf,

The new evennews module seems to work fine, thanks. I have a major problem though: wfsection does not work anymore, HELP!

I get blank pages for each category I want to display. The articles are displayed corectly. In the admin area I see that the categories are still present in the database. So I think this is a configuration issue.

Another question: should this version of evennews be able to send out more than 1000 e-mails?

The nested/flat/threaded setting is in the system admin area because it applies not only to newbb, but also to comments posted to any module that allows comments (news items, polls, etc).

viewtopic.php was also my suspect, i guess i know there the bug is, we will see...

Just an idea and perhaps I'm totally wrong.
The first time I tried the new newbb, I forgot to chmod 777 the 'attachements' directory and it returned me this kind of error every time I tried to post with any kind of file attached.


The "normal" newbb doesn`t have a attachment folder..
