Yes, I can. In the admin section everything looks exactly the same as before.

I had a backup of my old XOOPS website. I tried deleting the whole newbb directory and replacing it with the backup one. The forum still didn't work and it still said: "Error".

Looking For A FAQ Module

The FAQ modules that I have seen so far for XOOPS have only had a Main Category and then the Questions/Answers are stored under this.

I need something that allows a Main Category, Sub-Categories and then the ability to have the Questions/Answers under either the Main or SubCategories.

I thought about using WF-Sections for this, but I really want it more FAQish (if that makes any sense).

Thanks! :)

Thanks

Hi Catzwolf,

The new evennews module seems to work fine, thanks. I have a major problem though: wfsection does not work anymore, HELP!

I get blank pages for each category I want to display. The articles are displayed corectly. In the admin area I see that the categories are still present in the database. So I think this is a configuration issue.

Another question: should this version of evennews be able to send out more than 1000 e-mails?

Thanks!

Turn on PHP debugging in system admin and see if it churns out any errors?

I am hope that it will, as the client wants this Let me know how you get on and if it doesn't then I will have another look at the code.

I have on my site a scrolling images of train images that make up a train, Now what I wish to do is have some diffrent trains made up so when a member logs in he will get a diffrent train.

Can this be done, if so how.

Thanks in advance

Predator,

The forum running on your testsite is trully wonderfull. As i'm totally costumizing my website, intergrating a forum like IPB would be a hell of a job. (for several reasons I can't use bbpixel's mods) Now I might not need to! It seems newbb is finally becoming a real forum.

I can't wait to test it on my testenvoirement. Keep it going, your doing a wonderfull job.

Is your server Linux or Windows?

I installed XOOPS on a server running Apache. All works well, except when I go to the Admin page, I get the following error: WARNING: File root:/pathtodir/mainfile.php is writeable by the server.
Please change the permission of this file for security reasons. in Unix (444), in Win32 (read-only)

When I chmod the file to 444 as recommended, it does not "stick", it just goes back to 644 and I get the above arror as above. Just for the heck of it, I made the file read-only and that was a mistake. Any ideas?
