i'm not sure your problem is a bug phatty..
as far as i can figure the spotlight is doing it's job, but the way the module works is to read the 1st paragraph of text from each news item.
this doesn't include images i believe.
i'm not sure if Catz could maybe modify this slightly so that it will display bbcoded/html info..
