Hate to jump on the bandwagon but I too have the same problem.
I had a beta site running on a win2k box with an older version of php and xoops, everything was ok . I have done a fresh install of windows 2003 running iis6 and a fresh install of PHP v4.3.5 and MySQL v 4.0.13. Everything appeared to go ok, I could run the install ok, everything was green, the database and it's tables were created ok but now when I navigate to index.php nothing. Just a blank screen. I cannot access the admin screen to activate the debug option but I have set the error option E_ALL in the correct file (which I can't remember off the top of my head). I still do not get any error info though
I have to confess (in case you had not guessed), I do not know a great deal about webservers or php I just want a decent cms which is easy to setup and use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Forogot to mention most pages I try and navigate to are blank (no error info) but a few do have errors, such as this one

Fatal error: call to a member function on a non object in d:\intepub\wwwroot\header.php on line 112

Line 112 of that file reads as follows

$xoopstpl->assign('xoops_pagetitle', $xoopsmodule->getvar('name));

If so, how do you go about it please.

Thanks in advance

It took me a little time to understand it also :)

Lets see if I can explain it - please forgive me if my explanation is rubbish :)

Admin Menu - you should see 5 options:

Admin Multimenu 1
Admin Multimenu 2
Admin Multimenu 3
Admin Multimenu 4
Blocks Admin

Each of the Admin options reffers to a different menu block (1-4).

Click on the first one....

Firstly you want to create a link. Click "New Link"

Title: Give the link the title you wish. Example "Site Credits".
Link: Destination of the link. Example:http://www.mysite.com/credits.htm
Hide: useful if you want to remove a link while you change something - leave set to NO
Target: I normally leave to "Self" - Other options will create a new browser window. Useful for external sites
Groups: If you want to make this option only visible to webmasters (for example) just select webmasters. For all people on the site - click on all (remember to hold Shift).

Submit your choices.

Repeat for each link

blocks admin

This lets you see who can see the links, and who can alter them.

The top half lets you go into the block menu for each menu block. You can change the name of each menu block here, set it to visible, control what pages it is seen in and so on - the same as with standard blocks.

The tick boxes below:

Tick all the options you want for webmasters.
Registered users - normally only the options from the second line (ie - tick the menu you want them to see)
Anonymous - normally leave unticked (but you can tick what you wish)

Then submit.

That should do it :)

I hope that was of some use at all.

Hmmm - I'm having a problem installing this.

The actual module seems to install fine, however I can't see the orange admin block on the control panel - and the resulting link on the user view just brings up a blank screen.....

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Do a search for "Multimenu" - it allows you ro create up to 4 sub menus... very useful indeed!

(There are other programs such as "imenu" - or you can hack the code if you wish... I preffer "Multimenu" myself)

Hello junior 05

Under Administration menu/system/templates/system ( click on list) and then
search for system_block_mainmenu.html edit again and just add that..

<a class="menuMain" href="Your url">Your title</a>
<!-- end module menu loop -->

Hope it helps

hughs
