Re: Well, What Now?

Guess it is bye bye again ricland. You obviously have a very bad attitude and aren't willing to listen to reason. The answers are here but you refuse to listen. No one can help a person that won't read or listen or even bother to look for answers for themselves. I've tried to be patient with you and ignore your outbursts but no more. I have mod rights here and can edit you if you get too far out of line. Behave or leave, your choice.

Re: Intergrating an Existing fully modded Forum into Xoops

What kind of forum program are you using? If there is no XOOPS module for it, then you could just add all your users to your XOOPS user table. But you will need to create a script to do it. You can link to your forum from XOOPS and even use a script to import data from your forum's database into a block of your XOOPS site. Like to show latest posts from your other forum onto your XOOPS site.

Read under "installing locally" and "installing on hosted platform"

Bullshit! In each case all you're told to do is how to upload the html folder. It doesn't explain the other folders. It doesn't explain anything about themes, etc.

I'm declairing war on you people. Check my posting history. It's been a year since I've been here. No more mr. Nice Guy. I've been trying to get this application working right for a year. I'm tired of your excuses for not having decent documentation or an organized home site.

Re: Well, What Now?

Could be, DonXoop! But then again, there are alot of people like Mad Max in this world.

The documentation on this site Wiki Install Guide, plainly says to upload all the content inside the html folder to your site's root folder. When you are installing a new program for the first time, you should always read the documentation thoroughly before you begin. Plus search the forums for answers.

xf_cssbasic download - read the forums there, the theme is given to registered members. You could just ask him for it.

How am I supposed to know I'm supposed to read the forum to find this out? Does that really make sense to you? Is that really logical to you? Well, it's not logical to me. If the heading is "cssbasic download," then somewhere on the page it's logical to expect the download. It's not logical to expect the user to know to go to the forum for the download.

That's not logical!!!

Re: Well, What Now?

alright, bugger off. see you, bye bye.

I won't take any more "seconds" to explain it for you. You don't have a clue about websites, sorry we made the assumption that an application that connects to the internet should be done with a clue. The app can't do it all for you. Buy one that has your style and options already figured for you. Or pay someone that knows how.

and, bye bye.
