I should also note that this relates solely to the mainmenu block.

I know the login block is all messed up, still working on tweaking that...

What is the licensing on IPB vs. phpBB ?
It looks like the Invision S/W is commercial, right?

Also, what features of IPB that phpBB doesn't have are you using?

Thank!
Dennis

One other question for anyone in the know.

I have done some tweaking regarding the left menu section, using a small background image within each item and then using left padding to align things properly.

Anyway, if you check out my site you may find that the alignment is off or on!

http://www.paintballandstuff.net/

If you check it out, the left block text will probably be off its alignment. However, if you refresh a bunch of times, or try clicking on other links, the alignment will snap to place, and then if you head back to the main page it will be back properly aligned.

I really don't know what could be causing this, and so I would appreciate whatever help could be given!

is there a good way/bad way to upgrade from beta 5 to beta 6 without losing data? I've never upgraded a module before.

Re: Unable to connect to database in file class/database/databasefactory.php line 34

Yes, that's the first to check.

My procedure in these matters goes like this:
1) Is mainfile.php correct?
2) Can you access the database with an external tool (host's phpmyadmin or something) with the information in the mainfile.php?
3) Contact host to hear if they are experiencing problems

Re: ran debug found issues how to fix?

I would suggest that you deactivate the modules one by another to find the culprit.

I don't know all of them, so I would suggest this order (the unknown for me first):

Stockbox
Games
Movie Times
FlashChat
FriendFinder
Job Listings
Web Stats
Glossary
Google
Classifieds
Yellow Pages
XoOgle
MS-Weather
Downloads
News (although I hope you don't get this far)
Contact Us
Forum

Just deactivate the module, then go to the user profile, if not solved, deactivate the next module, go to user profile... clean, rinse, repeat (Have 2 windows open, so you just have to work in admin menu and then refresh the other window on the user profile)

I figured it out. I replaced my mainfile.php with an older backup that had the wrong user and password for the database in it.
