In a 15 minute overview I only found a few things, all of which were present in B2 so I'd say you just haven't got to them yet.

(1) Document Download menu in WF-Section admin takes me to a blank screen

Ok I will have a look at this one again.

(2) Importing of a word doc from the Import HTML menu from a W2K/Word 2000 and WXP/WordXP based machine still brings an "Unable to instantiate application object" error.

I recoded all of this part and is working on my test box now. Can you test words/html conversion with another script?

(3) Spotlight article appears to strip images from the doc, and also even if you have the image set to blank it still seems to offset the article text as if the image were there, just not displayed.

Ok, this one I didn't know about and will fix

Thanks for these Brash.

Starting this thread so we can make a better Tab-based theme for the XOOPS community. Many people don't like the Main Menu block because it's not pretty when you have 25 modules and your main menu is cluttered.

What you should post here:
1) Browser Bugs
2) Feature requests
3) Design requests
4) Usage help

Basic Usage
The quick and dirty way to get to know how the Tab Mod works is to visithttp://169.229.146.74/calfacts/ login/pass: demo/demo

Go to the admin menu and click on UCB Tabs. There you'll see how it's layed out. DO NOT tamper with anything there. Look, don't touch...

Downloading the Tab Theme/Mod
Download the Tab Mod and Theme here.

Any other things that are placed in this thread, we'll play by ear.

Cheers,

-d

I also use Frontpage 2003 to upload to my remote server, is there any way I can use this to change the permission to prevent the mainfile.php being writable by the server, or do I have to do some funky ftp stuff?

Cheers

File permissions on a Windows based server must be done via the Windows Explorer & can not be modified via FTP or Frontpage. Some web hosts will provide a control panel that will allow you to change permissions.

Suggestion for beta 7

For the Manage Rating Categories, would it be possible to make a setting to 'Apply All'? I just added 32 top level categories and over 100 Sub Categories and each has the same 4 category ratings...took over 1 hour to add them all.

Beta 6 looks great so far. I haven't seen any bugs, but I'll try to flush them out tonight.

Oh, I understand Catzwolf.

I just wanted to state what I did so no one else would think that it was directed at me.

Yes - I'm still using Beta v2. I downloaded B3 this morning, uninstalled B2, DELETED B2 from my server and then installed B3 but it came up with the same issue so I went back to B2 since I had backed up the Database before uninstalling B2.

I understand the rules for BETAs (being an author myself) but the best way for me to test is to have my users do it and I only have 4 documents anyway and won't be adding anymore until the release version comes out.

The module itself works - from the user's side, it's just the Admin side that I have the loading issue with.

@Talis:

This statment wasn't aimed at you my friend

Hi all,

I'm trying to install a copy of XOOPS under a reverse proxy here at our university...
http://cohss.massey.ac.nz/admin2/
You can see that XOOPS will sit at a sub level of the CoHSS website.

Installation seemed to go OK at first, but then I ran into trouble getting login to work. I managed to overcome that by changing the virtual path to...
http://www.massey.ac.nz/~wwhusoc/admin2/

Now I can log in and get to the user menu and to the admin menu....but the only module showing is the system admin module and clicking on any of the options in its pop-up/floating menu brings up "This module does not exist"

I've searched the forum and came across this issue...
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=13171&forum=21#forumpost82532
and made the 4 changes listed at the bottom of the first page. But when I do, I end up with a blank user page and no way to log in.

Any ideas?

Phil

OK so it's a known problem. But does anyone know how to fix it?
