Re: User NewBB Posting Problem

Definitely sounds like a firewall problem.

If XOOPS cannot access the HTTP Referrer (which most software firewalls block if not on a "trusted" site) it will not allow database changes such as forum posts.

I tested XSAS and work fine, but...

If I want to build my own site, must I do it from the XSAS one?, or can I do it from the totally (blank) one -from zero?.

In this case, How can I do it. I didn't saw a "New Site" like option.

Is there some kind of wizard to build a new site?

Thank you

Re: ran debug found issues how to fix?

OK, if you submit it to the XoOgle bug tracker I'm sure this can be fixed in later versions.

It seems to be a problem with the search function of the module, but a further investigation is necessary to find the culprit piece of code.

Re: NEWS 1.2 module

We are hoping to release it.... soon... can't do better than that, both Herve and I are quite busy and still need to brush the last things up before being able to release it.

The problem you experienced, however, can be solved quite easily by following the instructions in This bug report regarding multiple group permission forms

It is a simple underscore, which is missing in a line in modules/system/admin/groupperms.php, which will fix this problem.

Hope you like the new features and to be absolutely sure you have the best working version, you get it from the development CVS

Hi there,
I checked the new NEWS module 1.2 (beta) and there will be some great major changes. I tested it on my localhost and there is a little issue I've noticed. I was seting up the permissions for posting articles, reading articles and all this new things and the problem was, that these settings didn't want to get saved. After saving it I looked on it and it was all unchecked - didn't work. I could not view the articles on the website. Well, I know it is not for relase now. I was wondering when, what date, will you relase this great new NEWS module. I would like to know aproximate relase date, pls.

Tested on XOOPS 2.0.6, linux, apache, mysql

XOOPS team, keep up your great work.

Hello Bob and welcome to XOOPS forums

Why dont you download the zip version of XOOPS and use winzip to decompress the files? Winip is a free issue programme. Windows XP will also decompress zip files without any add on programme

Hi all,

I know this should be really obvious, but I can't seem to unzip the .gz file. I'm using LAMP, have dl'ed the file and used gzip -d but it doesn't seem to uncompress the files. So what I have now is the dl'ed file (xoops-2.0.6.gz) and xoops-2.0.6.

I've created the db already. I feel very stupid. Would appreciate any help...

TIA,
Bob
