Since this topic is "sticky", does anyone know the current answer? When I open new_top.php, I'm seeing the same things as thannhhai.

For questions on smarty you should read the manual, which helps in many cases: http://smarty.php.net/manual/en/

A solution for your problem can be found on the following page in the smarty manual: foreach loops.

In the future (Xoops 2.2) the core itself won't contain any modules as Herko stated in one WOX newsletter. So TinyContent can't become a core module

Helo!

I am currently working on a new module. I query the DB and return an array (a single row of the table). How do I pass the individule elements of the array to the smarty template.

In the past I have done multiple querys to the db to retrieve the elements and then passed each one to the smarty template. But I know there has to be a more elegant and better performing solution.

Thanks,

JMass

hey Luminosity,

you would edit your "system_redirect.html" which is located in system templates. you need to clone your templates first if you have not done so.

edit: you can see this working on my site - go here:http://dcdezines.ca/user.php now enter anything and try to login. on redirect you will see my customization.

I can understand if there are some issues. However the NEED for a flexible way to add content and have it show up in the main menu in a controlable way is critical to many people. Others have tried to add additional menu blocks, set up navigation in the main page or even replace the main menu with an arbitrary menu. To me the TinyD solution is the least of all evils. I think there are more elegant solutions to the limited number of replications, etc. but it is a great start.

I would be interested to hear the arguements against it (or a module that accomplishes the same thing) as a core mod.

Google does not have any problems indexing XOOPS sites.

As of ranking by Google, without a pagetitle hack, everything from XOOPS is shown as

sitename - module name

This does not help in ranking. All relevant information is listed under "site name - module name" and is treated as secondary by Google ranking system. Google has given pagetitle more weight in ranking.

I hope the XOOPS core developer would consider caching pagetitle by header.php. The pagetitle hack becomes useless once the modules cache has been enabled.

It seems my cookie for newbb_topic_lastread is not getting set. When I delete the newbb cookie from my computer and then go to the forum the cookie gets recreated but the variable newbb_topic_lastread is missing.

May I have your link and make a test?
